When I was selling, I found that hard work makes the sales. That does mean knowing something about the business your prospect is involved in, being willing to go the extra mile to get him the information he needs, calling-calling-calling, having a thick skin, accepting rejections with humor.
If your sales are bad, you know they'll fire you if they don't get better. Regard that as liberating. You now can take chances, try new things, experiment with sales approaches, and most important relax. You need to act confidently even if your world is falling apart.
Breathe deeply. I'm not kidding.
Act like your selling a ton of stuff. This is show business.

One thing I have learned is be their friend and ask for the sale...all quickly. Its a numbers game. You will get 100 nos to 1 yes. Keep going.
