how can you tell the difference?

Love is when you're happy just thinking about him. Lust is when it's never enough just thinking about him; you must actually see him, touch him and smother the poor guy to death!

And yes, you can certainly tell the difference. Love gives you a good funny feeling. Lust leaves you exhausted. An equal dose of both is perfect in a relationship.

I could use more descriptive words but I'm not sure how old you are.

I only leaned the difference when the love fell out of my relationship and the lust remained... It was clear that we wanted each other, but the love had gone... you can tell the difference the moment you know that you don't really deeply care for someone and still want to have sex with them, or do more than that, but expect very little besides the sex in terms of sharing you emotional life... :)

Love is an emotion and lust is a physical desire.

Tell the difference:

After sex lust is gone and love is stronger.
