My Kindergartener Son said the "F Word" at school today and the teacher is supposed to call me. Instead, should I call her first and when I do, how do I approach the situation? My son hears my husband cuss all the time. Also, when the teacher asked my son, "Who do you hear say that word?", he replied - "My Dad".

I guess my main question is, since we each equally share the Kindergartener volunteer days (every Tuesday), who should talk to the teacher, (my husband or I)?

(1ST) IF HE IS IN KINDERGARTEN HE IS TO YOUNG TO USE THAT WORD TELL HIM THAT IS NOT VERY NICE TO SAY THAT WORD OK AROUND ANY ONE?

(2ND) YOU ARE BOTH GOING TO HAVE TO MEET WITH HIS TEACHER OK WITH OUT HIM TO TALK ABOUT THIS MATTER THIS IS VERY IMPORTANT OK.

(3RD) YOU ARE GOING TO HAVE TO SPANK HIM EVEN IF YOU DO NOT WANT TO AND LET HIM KNOW ANY TIME THE TEACHER CALLS FOR HIM USING REALLY BAD WORDS LIKE THIS HE WILL GET A SPANKING
THIS MIGHT BREAK IT UP BEFORE IT GETS STARTED OK

Im sorry but this is funny so many people go through this in their life time but so few will admit it. I do not permit cussing in my home or around my children. I am 35 and I do not like hearing it so I surely dont want my children to hear it, I'll even change the TV channels if I hear it in a movie or in a song. You need to talk to your husband about his language or else your son will soon repeat even worse things Im sure. I think your husband should talk to the teacher not you seeing as youd just be the 3rd party.Make him own up to his actions

It might be best for your husband to talk to the teacher. Maybe hearing this from an outside perspective will make him think more carefully about the words he uses in front of his son!

I am already getting all over my husband about his language and our son is only 13 months :) you never know when they're listening!!

The main people you need to talk to is your son and your husband!! Talking to the teacher is just a formality.

Both of you should talk to her. And don't let her bully you. I don't know a parent out there who hasn't slipped in front of their kid. The main thing is to tell your son that that word is unacceptable and that even though daddy says it, it isn't right. Daddy should apologize and watch his mouth around jr. too to show him that it isn't right. Good luck!

I suggest you talk to the teacher before she reaches you because it will seem like you care more about your child . And I don't really think your husband should talk. I think you should.

He seems to have picked up those bad words from his Dad and kids almost always follow their parents' footsteps with behavior.

Approach her before she approaches you. As far as using soap like another answer said. All 3 of you need to do it...
