What is Marine corps boot camp like and what advice would you give to new recruits?

Listen man,
Bootcamp might be a little hard but here is something to keep in mind. Anyone can make it through bootcamp as long as you do what you are told.

Also, bootcamp is just the first "test" in a long series of tests your going to have to get through. The only thing you get when you make it out of bootcamp is the title Marine.

But once you go from "recruit" to "Marine" the gloves come off training wise. Once your a Marine little things like, food, sleep, showers, ect.. are no longer rights unlike when your a recruit.

The easiest training I got in the Marines was in bootcamp, it all got harder from there.

my only advice is this
do as your told when your told and dont gripe or ask questions do the job right the first time

i never went through boot camp myself, because the military won't take me....but I have alot of friends who went through USMC boot. and yeah it will be hard, but remember it will be over soon enough, and use your brain (i mean don't lip off to someone you shouldn't.) I know for my best friend thing that helped him the most was when he got letters from me. (i wrote him once a week) and me and him talking about the things that we would do once he got home

Well It's not going to be a picnic. You are going to have to work hard. Do it right the first time. Believe in your self and remember that at the end of the training, it's all worth it.

it is extremely demanding physically and mentally...if you played high school football or basketball that will prepare you pretty well because athleticism really, really helps
