Wait, I'm not sure I understand; ARE you just asking him out on a bet? If so, stop being a b**** and leave him alone.
If you honestly like him then go ahead and say "Since you don't like dances, will you go to a movie/out to eat/bowling with me?"
Take the chance. If he rejects you and you're "humiliated" don't be. No one cares. Only you.

Well, ask him out to anything like to lunch, or to like a movie or something, and see what he says. He might have liked you but said no because he just doesn't like dancing, or doesn't feel comfortable doing it. If he rejects you, it's not the end of the world and I'm sure you'll find someone better anyways. Don't tell him a lie and say you're asking him out on a bet or anything though, that would only hurt him and make him not like you. Just be honest about your feelings and see how it goes.

Who cares what the rest of the ppl in ur school are going to think? Most likely ur never going to c any of them anymore after u graduate high school. Its good that u already asked him, so he basically got a clue what ur trying to say. he was probably just really nervous and also i know a lot of guys who really didn't like to go to school dances in high school or middle school (whichever u go to). So if he has any intentions of being with u, most likely he will come near u more often and talk 2 u more. Good luck.

Yeah, I think it's a really good idea to ask him somewhere other than the school dance. You should ask him if he wants to hang out: like go to the movies or something like that. If he says NO again, it means he isn't interested in you at all.

Why try to protect your reputation when you may have a chance? I mean ask him out outside your school. Then maybe when you hit it off, bring up the whole dance thing again. Make him feel you really want him to be your date. You have to figure this out on your own. Us answerers can only do so much.

First of all, go to the dance without him, don't miss otu on something you wanan do for aboy you WILl regret it later on. Secondly, if he said hell no right off he isn't interested in you or he woudl have offerred an alternative. Don't say it's on a bet, how hurtful that would be to him even if he is a jerk.

ask him out to a movie or something it will be dark and not that many people that u know will be there espeically if it is the night of the school dance. ask him if he wants to go see a movie and get to know each other better, but take it slow.

Don't say anything about a bet. You should ask him out again. First, find out what he likes to do and ask him to do that for a date. Like if he likes bumper cars, ask him to the carnival or something. Good luck!

Talk to him in private, like where if by chance he does say no, no will EVER find out cause they won't believe someone who is unpopular. And say " Hey I like you, would you like to go to the movies or something sometime?"
Hope I Helped!

He quite possibly doesn't know how to dance. If you really like the guy ask him for a daylight date,i.e. a matinee movie, round of putt putt golf or bowling.
