Most medicines produced for sale have markings on them. These could be what they call designer drugs. Some of them are made in home labs and such, and are a mixture of many drugs depending on what the people they sell too like. Some of the fancier labs have markings on them, but not all.
It may take a while to zero in on what chemicals are in these pills.

It's very possible that they could be some over-the-counter pain reliever....so many look like that. Pills of E for instance would not have a score line. That is something that only pharmeceutical companies do when they manufacture pills.
Someone's playin around at his school.

When I'm on the streets and come across a pill I don't recognize I call poison control.
The nurses there can identify by color, stampings and size.
Honestly it sounds like aspirin to me but with all the backroom chemists out there who knows.

It isn't going to matter what they are! They do not allow drugs of any kind especially in schools. Even if it turns out to be aspirin charges will still be filed. I would take him into a room
lock the door and beat it out of him if I had to! He knows what he was carrying so ask him!

Well of course we all realise the step son is lying and he knows at least what they are suppose to be, he had them and had either bought them or was selling them to be something. ( they may not be that , but he may beleive they are)
Since you don't have one to show a druggest, that won't help much. And of course the step son knows where they came from also.
My guess wlll be they are some non controled over the counter drug and he was selling them as something they were not, since most of the controled substances will have markings on them.
Or perhaps some of the pills used in making meth.

If it is X or ecstacy our step son is rich. 76 x $5.00=380.00. i never had that much money in high school. These could be anything from aspirin to a controlled subsatnce. He knows what they are. you can find out by simply taking them to the hospital. They have tons of reference books on drugs.

If you have a Drug Task Force or narcotics unit at your local police station, they could possibly "field" test them. There are field test kits for virtually every type of illegal drug and most of the narcotics officers have them.

It doesn't matter, drugs at school is not a good thing, he should not have had them. Even if they are not a controlled substance, he had enough to prove he intended to sell them. That many pills is not for personal use.
