You should definitely try a chiropractor. I have worked for a chiropractor for over 8 years and I have seen some awesome results, with my own eyes! Results that will absolutely amaze you.
It is one of those great treatments in life where I am not able to clearly tell you how it works I can only tell you that it does work!! Even if you don't "believe" in it. For example, I have seen a 2 month old baby who hurt so bad from birth that all it could do was scream out in pain. The poor thing could not eat, could not sleep, could not be held at night... well you get the picture. After only two adjustments the baby became quite. She wanted to be snuggled all of the time and she began to really breastfeed from the mom. How could a little 2month baby "believe" in chiropractic? She couldn't. SO IT WORKS!!!!

Typically a person who suffers from low back pain as well as hip pain have a subluxation. A subluxation is when you vertebra are not correctly aligned within your spine. Now your nerves, the main form of communication to and from your body and brain, are housed in the spine and each nerve leaves the spine to connect to it's body part for function through the vertebra. So if two vertebra are not lined up and are putting pressure on a nerve...lets say the one to your lower back....then your lower back will feel pain or any other symptom that is associated with the subluxation of the lower back region.
The problem with medications and some therapies, not all therapies, is that it can mask the main condition by releaving you of the symptom. In your case the pain. With Chiropractic treatments, the chiropractor removes the subluxation, or the nerve interference and the pain goes away.
Here is an analogy for you. Let's say that you have a garden hose that the water is turned on to and flowing (this represents your nerves) and then all of a sudden the water stops flowing (this is the subluxation). You notice that the hose has a kink in it (your pain). Well what do you do? Do you turn the water up so the flow is stronger and faster? Or do you find out what happened to the hose and remove the interference? The second choice represents getting adjusted by your chiropractor. By removing the interference or kink in the hose you can restore natural balance to the body.

If you don't already have a chiropractor that you use then ask around to you friends and family or call the local chiropractic society and see who they would recommend. You might find that your chiropractor can help you better than you previously thought!!

You need to make an appointment with a professional who deals in pain management. They are the ones to turn to when ALL else has failed. You can find them associated with any hospital. Just go to one. Good luck with that pain. Been there.

I don't like Tylenol because you have to take them every four hours, and I don't like Ibuprofren because it ruined my liver. Aleve has worked the best for me and you only take it twice a day. I have degenerative disc disease in my lower back and degenerative arthritis in my neck, and my doctor suggested Aleve. That's what I use.
