hmm ... i have done a project recently on the variations in face flatness of Out board bearing in a rotary compressor ... now i am done with my project and i hafta submit it today. Just now my professor called me and asked me to add a 3 page description abt rotary compressor ..so i need it for that ... kindly help me out in this regard ...

i have already tried all search engines and wikipedia too ..

Well I won't do your homework for you, but as a notation of interest they are commonly used in A/C systems in cars. They run rather quiet compared to a traditional piston compressor. Alot of people I know have converted these types of compressors to fill up air tanks (rather than pump cold air in your face) to use with air suspension systems or train horns. They also get very hot and use the A/C juice as a coolant. So when using them for traditional air compression - a seperate lubricating system is needed.

You could always try a library of real books. I'm having real difficulty myself trying to understand how to expand the description of a rotary compressor to three pages.
