It really will just depend on when the cruise is and things like that. Even though you are a little low on the list, you never know how many people will cancel. A lot of things will come up between now and then and when it all comes down to paying the final payment, a lot of people cancel.

I would not want book my air and things like that are bank on getting a room, but there is still a good chance of getting it. If you are only able to go during this time frame, you may want to try booking another cruise just in case. As long as you don't wait until you are in a time frame that would have any fees for canceling the trip, you could always go with the cruise you have waitlisted, should something come up.

Good luck with getting your cruise!

Calculate the payment due date. Most people that are going to cancel out do so before the payment due date.

All three cruise lines that I have sailed with, this date is 75 days prior to sailing. Ask you travel planner for the Princess policy. (Carnival is 75 days; Carnival is Princess' parent company).

If you have not heard from your travel planner within a day or two of the payment due date, your chances of getting on are reduced.

After the 22 people, who are in front of you in line get on the boat (and if there still is room) then the odds are 1/1.

The more cabins, the better your odds. Yes, people cancel all the time for various reasons.

cruises have so many thousands of people on them that cancel and get on daily/weekly i think your odds are very likely, good luck!

Depends on how many fall off. The ship that is.
