I agree, it only seems to work one way with the races too. I admire you for pointing this out and am giving you a star!

I would definitely have to say yes. Living here in the South, it gets thrown around a lot, whether it actually applies to the situation or not. This country has bent over backwards to help select (and I emphasize "select") minorities for the wrong reasons that its backbone is nearly broken. The overuse and constant throwing around of the term "Racism" diminishes the situations where it truly applies and needs to be rectified. The true victims are simply lost in the crowd.
I also hate the fact that some people believe that only caucasians are capable of being racist. Racism doesn't have a color preference, it's the person that does.

Yes... and the funny thing is those who think it is CRIMINAL to be "racist" or more correctly, "nationalist" ... or even MORE correctly, "a Law abiding, working, tax-paying citizen (or legal resident)"
I was answering another Immigration query a moment ago... a gal was asking about the Mexicans who passed through Ellis Island (?)
...and in researching I found the 2006 Pew Hispanic Center Report... that 81% of the illegal immigrants in the USA are Hispanic !! 9% Asian, 6 % Euro or Canadian.
NOW, if 81% of a problem comes from a SINGLE source... is it RACIST to want to correct that problem ?
I don't care about your skin color, accent, or church... I just EXPECT you to obey the law.

Absolutely. At a white male, in this age if I criticize anything pertaining to another race, such as music, I am automatically suspected of racial bias. As an example, if I comment that I do not like banjo music it is taken as a honest expression of personal feelings. If, on the other hand, I express a dislike of rap music I am suddenly a white bigot who is against the honest expression of a whole race of people. It is simply the new hammer the PC left uses to beat people into submission.

I think it IS racism when all you read are comments about a specific race being belittled, when the members (every single member) of that specific culture are bombarded with insulting remarks about the food they eat, about their physical characteristics, about other specifics that make up their culture... I don't know about you but that to me is racism.... I completely understand that most of you are against illegal immigration and that is perfectly fine, BUT when you try and give your 2 cents don't do it in a way where you are hurting others by deminishing their humanity, put your points across and give an active realistic solution, don't just think that by calling somebody a name the problem is going to disappear!!!!

I have yet to meet an American that is not racist!!! I believe that all of us are racist in some ways or another. Were just not to open about it because it is not politically correct
We say we don't hate the black people. But i dare you to live in the black neighborhood. Yes, i don't want to live in a black neighborhood bec. statistically, crime is high. And that makes me a racist, right.
Why does Hitler hate the Jews so much? Did you think that he just woke up one morning feels like killing all the Jews?
He has a reason, and weather his reason is valid or not, he has own reason. ( He stated his reason in his book Mein Kampf).
But of course we can all agree that his method of eradicating the jews is totally IMMORAL AND WRONG
I have a lot of bad experience working with jews. Coincidence, or not, you tell me. Do i hate the jews? Let me just say that i would never work for a jew again. But i sure have jew friends, but never an employer.
What is my point? As a human being, we are all racist. African American hates Jamaicans, Mexicans hates El Salvadoreans, Koreans hates Taiwanese, even in Iraq, the Shiites muslims hates the Kurds. The list goes on...
Its just not ok to express your hatred in public or you will be cursed. We always have our first impression of someone. And it will take time to confirm, or un-confirmed our being prejudiced.

You are 100% correct. Anymore, if a person breathes they're called a racist. If a person wants laws upheld, they're a racist. If they drive an SUV, they're a racist. It's ridiculous.
Edit: To respond to a post I saw above, there are quite a few of us that do condemn racist remarks, and do speak out for acceptance of all nationalities, religions, and races.

I agree. The word is often used when no other argument can be used. The word has become ineffective when used against others, especially when the subject is illegal immigration.I find that most of those who feel they have to use the word are immature and can not think of any other way to get their opinion across except to try and insult others. I actually find the word amusing,it has no effect when used on me and just strengthens my view that those who feel they have to resort to name calling, have no logical ideas of their own.
