My boyfriend's aunt was asked by her boss to "accidently" burn down her place of employment for the insurance money. She hitched a ride to the laundry matt that she works at with her vehicle, caught a drier on fire by messing with the wires and left. When my boyfriend returned to his house (across the street from whare her appartments are) she ran over and asked him for a ride. They had already passed her when she was on her way upto the laundry matt and knew she had been their already but was needing a ride to the gas station for somthing to eat. They gave her a ride but she knew she couldnt go to the laundry matt with my boyfriend's mother in the car so she let them go back to the house then "forgot" and said she had to change the security tapes at her job. My boyfriend got in the car and drove her to the laundry matt when he saw that it was on fire, he turned to run to the video place next store when his aunt stopped him and said "wait! I'll give you 1,000$ if you dont.

He looked back at her and said " I'm sorry i cant. " He then proceeded to run into the store and call the fire dept. They called it an electrical fire and let them go on their way but the insurance is looking into it. His aunt told her daughter the story about what her boss said and told the rest of my boyfriend family what she had said. When confronted later on tho she denied it. My boyfriend's car was at the scene and I was told that he might be accused of being an accomplis or an accessory. I need advice and quickly on waht i should do.

(1) Tell the truth
(2) Your aunt should be in jail

If you lie, and if they find out the truth later on, you will all go to jail. Might as well stay out of jail, and let those that are guilty go to jail.

I see two specific charges that are applicable in my own state:

1) Arson; and
2) Conspiracy to Commit Arson

My strongest suggestion is you "cleanse" yourself quickly. You could find yourself in a deeper hole than you are able to climb out of if you don't.

Contact the insurance company or the local law enforcement agency and provide them with the truth.

Most assuredly, you may wish to consult with an attorney also.

It all needs to be reported, and yes if the insurance company is looking into it, they already "know" just can't prove it yet. And most likely boyfriend will take the fall for it, when eveyrone else says they don't know anything about it.

And just a moral and honest poeple, we have a obligation to report a crime

This isn't regarding fraud, it is regarding arson, and probably conspiracy to commit insurance fraud as well. In your boyfriend's favor, he called the alarm.

You know very well what he should do.
