Well high end and Sacramento do not go to well together. That being said the Hyatt Regency downtown is pretty much as good as it gets. The Governor stays there during the week, he has a permanent residence in LA.

Your other choices would be the Sheraton, or I hear the Sterling Hotel is nice, it is in a restored Victorian home.

As far as eating goes Sacramento is far better off there. My Favorite place is called Lemon Grass, it is a Thai Vietnamese fusion restaurant and the food is wonderful. The owner/chef is nationally known.

Other choices include Biba, Italian, again a nationally recognized chef/owner. And you can not go wrong with any of the Paragary owned restaurants. One other choice would be Chantrell (sp?) it is located in the Sterling Hotel and gets rave reviews.

Enjoy your stay.
