Losing weight is a simple equation: if you burn more calories than you eat, the weight will come off. Start off by estimating how many calories you burn each day using the calorie calculator http://straighthealth.com/pages/tools/caloriecalclb.html This will give you an idea of how many calories to eat. Healthy weight loss is 1-2 pounds per week. To lose 1 pound per week you need to create a calorie deficit (burn more than you eat) of 500 calories per day. To lose 2 pounds a week, you have to double the deficit to 1000 calories per day. You can achieve this by eating less, exercising more or a combination of both.

find calorie/fitness calculator on the net, enter your stats, take 300-400 calories off that number and that's how much you need to lose weight.
5-8servings of fruit and veggies a day
8 glasses of water a day
5-6 small meals instead of 3 big ones (breakfast is the most important - make sure to get complex carbs like whole wheat bread, oatmeal, fruit etc)
4-6 times a week cardio for 30-50min, light weight training, many reps
no junk food, no sodas, no alcohol, no white flour (cakes, cookies, white bread, pasta etc.), nothing high in sugar (ice cream)

DON"T take diet pills when breast feeding. You don't know what you might be putting in your baby. I understand you are eager to lose weight, but it can be unhealthy for a new mom to lose too much too fast. Ask your doctor to reccomend what diet and exercise you should do. Just eat healthy and stay active for now, and that will get you started. Walk or run a little every day. Take the baby.

you can clean your house, go for walks with baby, mostly just give it time, breastfeeding really helps and unless you are famous and can afford a cook and personal trainer it takes time for most people to lose baby weight, don't eat a lot extra just to keep milk supply up because you are breastfeeding, the amount of calories that are in a tablespoon of peanut butter is all the extra calories you need. eat more fruits and veggies, less processed- frozen foods, eat wholewheat breads and pasta, drink water, eat several small meals a day

I heard from my friend that if you breast feed, each breast feeding a day is 1000 calories you are loosing. so try to breast feed as much as you can and keep busy with the baby so you won't think for food...

go up and down the stairs couple of times to make sure you've walked and your heart bit is going higher.

find aerobics videos.
i don't know if i like house gym, it makes me very bored. another option is tell your man to babysit at nights, and twice a week go for new aerobics lessons after you go 3 months after your pregnancy. My friend did it when she had her new baby. after 3 months. she is thinner than me, the lucky one! i don't even have a baby!

why don't ya try yoga??...its not strenuous and it helps in reducing weight very quickly and healthily.
for example : one exercise is called as anulomvilom which is closing your right nostril with the right thumb and breathing thru the left nostril and then closing the left nostril with your right middle finger and exhaling through the right and then breathing thru the right and closing it and exhaling thru the left and so on....this help reducing lots of weight! try doing yoga(esp pranayam which in english is called as breathing exercises) follow some yoga book.

and another one..try chewing sugar free chewing gum. continuous movement of the mouth burns calories. (i heard it somewhere)
