I have been dedicated to the gym for almost 5 years now, and have recently felt it harder and harder to go there. Any suggestions on how to make working out better? Or is there anything else I can join to make me like it again?

Get out of the gym!!! Run outside, swim in open water, go biking, kayaing, surfing, anything that's not the boring old gym. Toss the gym membership for a month and get ACTIVE! You're a gym zombie but it's easy to overcome that if you decide you want to.

Good luck!!!

you need to set yourself some fitness goals. it's much harder to get bored in the gym if you are training for a purpose vs. just go get exercise. don't be scared to increase your weights to challenge yourself. big muscles come from a big diet not from the load used to stimulate the muscle(s). women also produce 1/10 the amount of testosterone that men do on average. very hard for women to get "big" unless they are supplementing with testosterone and following a diet that is designed to increase muscle mass.

Now that the weather is getting nicer, why not get outside and shake off the gym for a little while! Walking is afterall the very best exercise for your body. You're body will appreciate the change. Godloveya.

change up your exercise routines. Doing crunches? try it with a medicine ball! Also, joining a club or a dojo can be a great place to stay interested while working out.

first of all, why do you go? at what point do you achieve your health goals and start living the rest of your life over being addicted to going to the gym just to go?
