We are in Iraq because of faulty intelligence, so I guess the CIA is mostly responsible. Bush made decisions based on faulty intelligence. Of course, getting rid of SoDam Insane was a good thing, too. However, no WMD, at least so far. Probably none at all.

The U.S. went in after several resolutions were passed and Saddam kept thumbing his nose at the U.N. I believe that ultimately Saddam's continued refusal to submit to the U.N. demands and the final removal of the inspection teams led to the decision to invade. So, in my opinion he ultimately dared the powers that be, to do something about his alleged weapons. And, don't fool yourself, he kept claiming from the very beginning that he had the weapons and would and DID use them.

Before Saddam is the reason for War - he supported terrorists and threatened US! Now, terrorists are the reason since all we want is to rebuild Iraq - they want it destroyed!

Saddam is. Due to not letting weapons inspectors in. Diplomacy failed. Even the dems thought so in '98 yet nobody did anything about it.

He obviously had WMD - or he wouldn't have been able to gas the Kurds. Who knows what else he had - and he did have time while we built up our presence to place them elsewhere.

Those in Iraq who defied the many sanctions placed against them. Those who openly committed genocide. In short Saddam and his henchmen.

Since the USA declared war, then the USA is responsible for the war. However, if it wasn't for the crazy bastard in charge of Iraq, there wouldn't have been a war to begin with.
