I have been with my boyfriend for 6 years and we plan to get married soon. We have no kids yet. His brothers have five kids combined. And his parents treat their wives better and show them more love and i think it is because they kids. They always implying we need to have kids. I feel like an outsider and I hate it. Is this worth me stressing over?

Remind them you are not married and therefore, will not be having kids and then change the subject. If they keep coming back to the same subject just repeat the above again and change the subject. Keep doing this until they leave you alone about it.

No, don't get stressed out over it. They may treat the wives differently because the commitment has been made - perhaps that is what they are waiting for from you two. Regardless, we rarely like everyone the same. It's just life. I'm sure you like some of the in-laws more than others.

i think when people marry or intend to marry, those around them assume the natural chain of events is to have children next.some think a life isn't complete or you can't be happy without them. try not to stress so much. when they say something about having kids, tell them right then, it's really none of their buisness and you don't wish to discuss it with them.don't get into the conversation. if it continues, walk away. it will take some time but they will get the hint. if you want kids someday, have them when you're ready, not b/c someone thinks you should. if you don't want any. so be it. they are not a necessity. there is nothing wrong if you don't want kids and you shouldn't feel like an outsider.best of luck.

Some people are like that. They are wrong and it is not worth stressing over. People go crazy about their grandchildren and treat the parents of these grand kids like royalty. Have kids when you want to and it remember that it is NOT worth stressing over.

Don't have children unless both you and your boyfriend both want to have children and you both feel the time and your personal circumstances are right for this.
Ignore his parents. It's none of their business. I hope you've discussed your feelings about his parents with your boyfriend.
