I have recently bought a ford tempo 1989 GL and I cannot find the button to open the gas cap. I can however open using the manual overide cable in the trunk, but I don't want to get out and open the trunk everytime I get gas.

Its a little orange button in side the glove box on the frame of the box itself If i recall its on the rleft side. The yellow is a trunk release.

Did you look in the glove compartment? Sometimes there will be a yellow button there for it.

look in the glove box or trunk for the owners manual, it will be in there

did you try in the glove compartment?.....thats usually where ford hides it....good luck

front left side of the seat on the floor is a little lever you have to lift up to release it.
