I.E. Jehovah Witnesses. I mean, how could our sins be taken away by someone that ISN'T God? Also, would it really show God's love if He just appointed a special somebody to die for all the rest of mankind? Even if the sect believes that He is just the son of God and not also God himself, the love factor doesn't come through in this theology. Say, as a parent you had two children and one of them was going to die but could be saved by you or your other child dying in his/her place, what would be your decision----and what action would speak most effectively of love?
God came to earth in human form to die for His creation. This speaks volumes and more to me about true LOVE.

Those who believe God would send his child...his son, to endure the most evil and atrocious acts, in place of himself, are ultimately accusing God of transcendental child abuse and selfishness. (read scriptures at the end of this post)

How many loving human parents would do such a thing? Yet some believe a perfect God would love and protect His son any less? Logically and spiritually this makes absolutely no sense!!!!

These individuals also do not understand, that God is perfect humility, love, and justice, which is why He would walk among humans to save His children, despite His awesome power and glory. God loves us that much!!

Those who do not Believe Jesus was God in the flesh, have an extremely distorted understanding of God. Satan wants humans to deny the Divinity of Jesus, because it misleads them into thinking they must "earn" the love of God, compete for eternal life, or maintain an unhealthy fear of the Lord.

With this understanding of God..it is IMPOSSIBLE to practice the fruits of the spirit authentically!!!

Also, God explains things in a manner, simple enough for the human mind to grasp. An imperfect mind, can not fully comprehend the Divine nature of God. Son of God, does not mean we are to diminish and compare the Lord to a human father-son relationship. Most importantly, Jesus, God in the flesh, taught by example when He walked the earth. This is why Jesus was often seen praying in time of need and suffering.

Satan, the Master Manipulator, has tried to deny the Divinity and Power of God, before the creation of Adam and Eve.

The Divine nature of the Lord, is the core of scripture, and the foundation of our Faith and Salvation, which is why the Father of Lies works diligently to spread his greatest lie.

The question is not whether Jesus and God are the same, but rather who will you choose to believe: God or man?

Again, humans can not fully grasp the concept of how God can be spirit and flesh with their minds. Rather than accept these limitations, and trust scripture, many have chosen to diminish this miracle, to a human father son relationship. Arrogance!

Do not be misled....Jesus and God are the same!!

Isaiah 43:10 states - You are my witnesses," declares the LORD, "and my servant whom I have chosen, so that you may know and believe me and understand that I am he. Before me no god was formed, nor will there be one after me.
John 10:30 - I and the Father are one.

We are also told that only God is to be worshiped. However, there are various scriptures which clearly state that Jesus was worshiped in the flesh. Here are a few:

Matthew 2:2 - After Jesus was born in Bethlehem in Judea, during the time of King Herod, Magi from the east came to Jerusalem and asked, "Where is the one who has been born king of the Jews? We saw his star and have come to worship him."

Luke 24:52 - Then they(disciples) worshiped him(Jesus) and returned to Jerusalem with great joy.

John 9:35-38 - Then the man said, "Lord, I believe," and he worshiped him.

Matthew 14:33 - Then those(disciples) who were in the boat worshiped him(Jesus), saying, "Truly you are the Son of God."

The Lord states He would never share or give his Glory to another....not to ANYONE.....

Isaiah 42:8 - I am the LORD; that is my name! I will not give my glory to another or my praise to idols.

Yet here are several scriptures where Jesus clearly receives this Glory. Here are a few of many:

John 17:22 - I have given them the glory that you gave me, that they may be one as we are one.

John 17:5 - And now, Father, glorify me in your presence with the glory I had with you before the world began.

For the sake of brevity, I've only listed a few reasons why it's clear that Jesus and God are the same. However, there are many, many, more. Do not be deceived by False prophets who speak from their own minds and intellects, blinded by "religion", and led by delusions, ignorance, and spiritual pride.

Trust your Heavenly Father and His inspired word. God is supernatural, and above human understanding. Thus, it is not impossible that He can be God-Father, God-Son, and God-Holy Spirit in ONE, even if mortal minds find it difficult to believe.

I often think of how one source of electricity...branches out to power a tv, lamp, and radio at once. Different aspects and responsibilities, but one source. Not the best analogy...but I hope it has been helpful.

Only an infinite Being such as God, could pay the infinite price for all our sins. A son...would not have the authority, or value placed upon His life, to qualify for such a remarkable sacrifice. Trust your Bible...not humans.

Blessings, Miji

Jehovah Witnesses do not understand, that if Jesus were not God, this would mean His death was not sufficient to pay the penalty for our sins (1 John 2:2). Only God had the authority to do this, and the ability to die and be resurrected proving victory over sin and death (2 Corinthians 5:21). Satan knows that if he can convince people like the Jehovah Witnesses and others to believe Jesus is just a "son", prophet, or teacher, they are also stating Jesus had no salvation value whether they realize it or not. You can not have an unquestionable faith and understanding of God if you are unable to grasp the most important fact that Jesus and God are the same.

Jesus is God in the flesh... the bible makes this clear...

There are way too many example to list, here are just a few:

John 8:28-"When you have lifted up the Son of Man, then you will know that I AM [Gr. ego eimi-cp. Ex 3:14; LXX-no "he" in Gr.]"

Ex 3:14-God said to Moses, "I AM who I AM. This is what you are to say to the Israelites: 'I AM has sent me to you.'"

John 8:58-59-"I tell you the truth," Jesus answered, "before Abraham was born, I AM! [Gr. no "he"-cp. Ex 3:14; LXX]" At this, they picked up stones to stone him...

There's nothing like a personal relationship with Him.

Their love of their children come through in far more ways that in any church. They don't feed their children distorted Bible stories, but teach them the Bible, as a whole, just as Mary and Joseph taught the child Jesus. Children may not understand what they are learning, any more than they understand other things like why 1+1=2, but by the time they reach the age of understanding, they have a basic knowledge of the Bible. Can your 12-year-old child tell you how to tell what day of the the Memorial of the Last Supper falls and why? What complete lacking of love you must have for your child that you would not teach them the one day of the year Christ did say to keep in Memorial.

Love ones child? Yes, they love to see them grow up on a Paradise Earth, and perhaps heading out into the Universe to explore all of God's Creation and terraform other planets.

Habakkuk 1:12 Are you not from long ago, O Jehovah? O my God, my Holy One, you do not die. O Jehovah, for a judgment you have set it; and, O Rock, for a reproving you have founded it.

It's impossible for the Almighty God to die !!!
When God spoke from heaven he said Jesus was his Son.
Jesus said his Father was in heaven. John Chapter 17 clearly shows Jesus praying to his Father, not to himself.
The word trinity is not even in the Bible. The trinity teaching hides Jehovah's true identity. John 3:16 God gave his only begotten son. What does only begotten mean?

Because Jesus is not God but the Son of God...read the Bible and not settle for the teachings of men. Check all the adjectives Jesus qualified us with in relation to Him, and contrast it with the adjectives He made about God in relation to Himself. You can see that He is "not God" but the "Son."

People need to realize that the Scriptures say that no man has ever seen God. They also need to realize that God, as Holy as He is, will NEVER leave His heavenly throne and come to earth and live amongst this corruption. Let alone be stoned, spit at, slapped around, mocked, and then finally be killed! I mean it's not funny, but it makes me laugh that people think these things can happen to the Creator Himself. Honestly, it's one of the biggest mistakes you can make. Instead of listening to what people tell you, check the context clues. After all, the Bible does tell us not to believe everything we hear, but to check the scriptures ourselves.

I would think it is because according to Christ, as recorded in the Bible, Jesus is the son of God.

We are not a "sect" of Christianity; we are Christians. However, it doesn't really bother us when people say this about us; they have been doing so for centuries. (Acts 28:22)

We are forgiven through our faith in the ransom sacrifice of the SON of God.

Does he have the authority to forgive sins?

First, note Jesus words in Matthew 28:18 - "And Jesus came and spake unto them, saying, All power is given unto me in heaven and in earth."

Notice, it doesn't say he HAD this power; rather, it was GIVEN to him. It had to be given by someone with greater power or authority. Who gave him this authority? The answer is his Father, Jehovah God. Please note Matthew 11:27; John 3:35; John 17:2; & 1 Corinthians 15:27

Does this authority include the power to forgive sins?

Jesus himself said so, in Matthew 9:6 - "But that ye may know that the Son of man hath power on earth to forgive sins, (then saith he to the sick of the palsy,) Arise, take up thy bed, and go unto thine house." (Also Mark 2:10 & Luke 5:24)
