Absent Without Official Leave, which means: missing for 72 hours or more. Up to 72 it is FTR which is not as usually stated "Fail to Report" as silly as it sounds it is really "Fail to Repair"

Absent WithOut Leave

UA or Unauthorized Absence is the lesser offense... basically it's being LATE.

After 30 days, AWOL becomes Desertion.

I know... I went to Captains Mast as an AW3 for a UA and got a LONG lecture from the CO on the subject !! Thankfully the Skipper made my punishment giving the same lecture to all the divisions during training.

So you feel we should not use any army phrases then like ACU's or BDU's perhaps we as army spouses have got to say "honey I picked up your struggle get dressed uniform from the cleaners at present" or how used to be "bodily coaching" at present rather of PT. I were married to my soldier for just about thirteen years and they all years he has been within the military. I were just about beside him by way of all of it. And whilst I wasn't with him on his deployments, I used to be there sending him care programs, and writing him and being attentive to him whilst he known as. I suppose that as a partner their is not anything fallacious with making use of any army acronym and making use of HOOAH and Semper FI are simply that. It could also be our strategy to fully grasp and exhibit our pleasure for what our spouses are doing. The army is a fully special subculture from the best way we are living to the best way we speak and the extra that I can hook up with my husband the higher to comprise studying extra approximately the military and the way they paintings and what he does. If I can speak to him at the military's stage, the higher for him and I. HOOAH!!!!
