Satellite or cable TV requires a set top box which is enabled when you pay a monthly service fee. Your local channels can be received directly for free by installing an outside high gain antenna that has a rotor for turning it to the station direction you wish to receive. You will also need a preamplifier mounted on the antenna mast.

The signal then goes to your decoder box which extracts the digital signals and sends them to your TV.

This is receiving RF signal which is transmit from local LPT tower that is feed to the tv tuner that is converted to am signal for his process.

For tv tuner antenna impedance always 300 oms
