Why do they get mad if the toilet seat is up? All they have to do is put it down. Is it because they are lazy? Men never complain if the seat is left down. They just put it up and move on with their lives.

I go with the "lazy" answer.

I have no idea why most women get mad. So I rather you not say women because it leaves me in that flock of lazy women that don't want to put the seat down themselves. Ok maybe you may have a emergency and have too pee real bad. That happened to me before but I still managed to put the seat down. =/ I don't mind if the seat is up or down.

Personally, I like to keep both the toilet seat AND cover down when not in use. I just thinks it looks nicer, I always do this when I have guests.

Also, I'm with the girl who"fell" in! That's happened to me when I was in a rush and had just barely gotten home in time, or in the middle of the night. It can also be dangerous, as you could lose your balance.

I'm lucky that my husband I and I agree on this topic, and if he sometimes forgets it's no big deal.

you know i live with my boyfriend and he is usually pretty good and putting the toilet seat down but one day i guess he forgot and i ran into the bathroom because i had to pee badly and i fell in the toilet... Thats why we get mad we dont like to wet our a s s with toilet water. And like i told him i dont mind putting the seat down but i do mind falling in the toilet. just put the damn thing down and avoid the issue... and thankfully he is respectfull enough that he does...

I've wondered this myself.
I've most often heard, "We don't like getting our butts wet when we sit down." My response is look before you squat; I do it, it's not that hard.

However, is it really that big of a deal for you to just knock the seat back down when you reach over there flush? I mean, your hand is there already. It may seem stupid to you for them to get upset, but if you make it a habit, your woman will appreciate it (even though she may never say anything to you). It'll show you respect her.

I've evened the playing field on this one - I require that both the seat and lid needs to be closed every time either person is done - that way we BOTH need to lift and close.

One of the great mysteries of men and women. So long as you don't pee everywhere, I don't care whether it's up or down.

Because your pee might be on the floor and women don't like cleaning up on guy's mess, that's what I think.
