Been dating a couple of years and we really love each other. I would marry him in a heartbeat and I think he knows this. What is he waiting for?

Maybe he is waiting for the right time, guys like to be ready for everything before they get married. Maybe he not financially, mentally or emotionally ready for such a big commitment.

Talk to him (do not give him an ultimatum) unless you don't want to stay in the relationship unless he marries you. People don't like to do anything if they are force to do so, so don't do anything you might regret.

He will ask when he has finished sowing his wild oats. Or perhaps he is just not comfortable in asking yet. Maybe he is too comfortable in the relationship as it is, and doesn't see why getting married would make a difference at this point. Perhaps what you should do, is appear like you are starting to lose interest in the relationship... and then he will get scared out of his mind, and propose to you. No on second thought, just wait it out.

You will know when he actually says those stupid words.

Clearly he is waiting because you are not ready to get married. You are too young and immature. Why do you feel the need to rush into marriage, he wants to wait. Did you even for a second think that maybe he is right? Of course not, that would be counter productive.

Waiting for the next best thing to come along. Doesn't want to get tied down to the wrong one. Ultimatum time woman.

why don't you talk about that with him casually. Don't push it too much though. You could use this line to ask him " Have you imagined the two of us growing old together>? wait for reaction...it's almost always immediate.

He's a man honey, they take their time, but don't force him, that will just make him feel trapped and want to run, no matter how many years you've been together. Be patient!

Honey he will ask you when he's ready. If you start harassing him it'll turn him off.

Could be anything... money for a ring, more stability in his career, the balls to ask you.
