Do we have two eternal alternatives: The agony and torment of Hell -- or the sheer utter boredom of Heaven?

I don't know about you, but I'll pick boredom over agony.

Do you really think that Praising our Father in Heaven face to face will be boring? I can't think of anything more exciting!!

No, Heaven will not be boring. Our way of thinking will be changed along with the new body we will have. What could possibly be boring about living with Jesus in Heaven for ever? Besides that we will be made rulers over the new world. I don't think we will just sit around at the marriage supper of the lamb and then go out and sit under the tree of life. God has something in plan for us that even we have no idea about.

The Bible isn't all that clear about what heaven is like. My understanding is that "time" isn't a factor anymore ... so we wouldn't have to chose among different activities.

My speculation is that it will involve infinite opportunities to learn ... from the masters ... and then to delight our Father with our progress.

My other speculation is that God has infinitely challenging tasks that need to be done ... and this life sorts out people who will be appreciative, loyal, and devoted to serving God, and can thus be trusted and rewarded with incredible powers.

One thing to consider: how much nicer Earth would be if you could count on everyone having good motives, and trying to do the right thing. WWJD. About the only laws left would be things like which side of the road to drive on.

Boredom? As if anyone can really know what Heaven is truly like?! But I'll tell you what, I would rather not take my chance on the alternative. It's not so much the dying thing but that your dead for SO long! I'll stick with the Heaven thing thanks! (and the view is better!)

Do you remember that when God created Adam and Eve, He blessed them and said to them "Be fruitful and become many and fill the earth and subdue it (LOOK AFTER IT) and have in subjection the fish in the sea and the flying creatures of the heavens and every living creature that is moving upon the earth"??? Gen. 1: 27
Did He say that they would go to heaven?
No.
The earth was created for man to live on and man was created to live on the earth.
When humans die, they go to the commmon grave of mankind, Hades, (translated into the English word, hell), awaiting resurrection just as Jesus taught.
When Adam and Eve disobeyed God, their Father, they started to die right then and there. That's the result of sin.
And the result of God's perfect Sacrifice for humans is that their sins can be forgiven and they can regain that perfection that Adam and Eve lost for mankind. These ones that are blessed by our Holy Father, YHWH God will receive everlasting life here on earth.
Now there will be pooh-poohing, but just reason it out.

No, heaven will not be boring! We will be SO busy that we won't have time to be bored.

I personally believe there are different degrees of glory and that very few people go to a place of constant agony and no progression. Another words outer darkness.

I think it will be so cool. Plus think of all the people there that you know! I can't wait to see my mom again!

I don't understand who gave you the idea about Heaven being boring but I for one think Heaven will be amazing. Streets of Gold is what the bible says will be there. Would you rather walk streets of Gold or streets of fire? I choose Gold. God rules!

I'd pick Heaven but I don't think it will be boring...My brother and I were just talking about how we want to talk to Smith Wigglesworth who was a very unconventional evangelist...He drop kicked a dead baby and it came back to life...He threw a dead woman against the wall and she came back to life. He once hid his wife's shoes so she wouldn't go to church.

Why do you assume that Heaven will be boring?

I think a common misconception perpetuated by people who do not wish to follow God's will on earth.

It says in the Bible that Heaven will be more wonderful than human minds can comprehend. I can comprehend boredom.

But that is just my opinion.
