No I don't think they should just legalize illegal immigration from anywhere... there are legal routes to take to become a citizen.... use them or you ARE committing a crime.

BTW... my bf is a LEGAL immigrant.... he had no trouble following the proper routes... why can't you?

No. And this not only applies to Mexicans but to everybody who wants to migrate in the US. I am speaking based on my experience because our family had to wait 20 years to get our visa approved so we can migrate here in the US legally. If we can do it in legal way and waited for 20 years why can't others? In addition to that it's really unfair for the people who waited, spent some cash just to get here and gone through the long process of getting legalized. Furthermore, these people are willing to be paid under the minimum wage which is why some other people who are legal in the US can't get a job that they are applying for example is janitorial position some other people who are legal in the US and has no education will apply for this job and this protected by law so if a person is legal and the position is janitorial then the company needs to pay this person the minimun wage for $7.25/hr but if an illegal immigrant apply for the same position that person will only get $5/hr and most likely the company will hire the illegal immigrant to save money for the labor. See it's really unfair.

We did that during the Reagen era and it only brought more illegals into this country. I do not condone illegal immigrants. My father was an immigrant (legal) and he went through the system and became a citizen. You say you only want to work hard. But what will you do to earn that right? There is a social contract that citizens adhere to, you work and pay taxes and contribute to the betterment of the country. Is that your goal or are you just here for the money? If that is the case then go away. We do not need leaches. We need people that want to make America great.

my hubby's family had to save, learn English, wait and sell most of what they had to come here after being sponsored by a relative. My in law's came here taught themselves better English learned to drive raised kids that knew no English when they came here to speak perfect English and to obey the laws of the USA. I don't think the US government should reward people that disobey the law no matter where they are from. And i also think that the school system has gone downhill so much because they have to spend so much money teaching kids to speak English because their parents are too lazy to. I have talked to many Mexican parents about why they don't teach their kids English from when they are young even though they are Americans instead of one parent speaking English and one speaking Spanish so they are bilingual. My hubby came here knowing no English and had to go to school and learn without any ESL classes he had to just learn. He understands his native language but speaks excellent English. my hubby is not an American but a legal immigrant to just legalize illegals is just a slap in the face of all the immigrants that worked so hard to come here the right way.

ARE YOU NUTS! ABSOLUTELY NOT! ALL ILLEGALS are criminals for being here. They are breaking our laws!

Why should we reward 20+ million people for breaking the law! Beside, the jobs that they have that are "hard work" are jobs for citizens. They are stealing the jobs and identities of Americans. They are sponging off the tax payer. They don't pay taxes!

This is not a racist issue. It is about our laws. I don't care if they are from England, Ireland, Mexico, Canada or China (notice how I am not singling out Mexicans). There are ways to immigrate legally. ALL ILLEGALS MUST GO HOME!

Absolutely not. Do I think you should be allowed to come here and work legally? Get in the back of the line behind the good people who are trying to work here legally/

NO! I think the government should have had the Army there to round all of you up the day you all demonstrated and sent you all back to Mexico!! I totally resent us having to teach your kids English for free, that we now have to learn Spanish to get jobs, that you won't learn English, that you are only here to take advantage of what America has to offer, but not defend her or contribute to her!! If you people would revolt against your own crooked government and make it better, you wouldn't have to come here to make a living!!! We should treat all of you the same way we would be treated, if we were caught being illegal in Mexico!!! Life in prison, or death!!!

If they just want to work "hard work" they'd have gone through the hard work of coming here legally instead of the easy work of commiting a crime.

There are two kinds of people in the world. THose willing to commit crimes and those who aren't.

Making their entry into the US wouldn't change the type of people they are, i.e. the type that are willing to commit crimes.

no, no, no, and hell, no!!!!!!!! Go back to Mexico and work there to make a better life for yourselves and stop blowing smoke to U.S. Citizens. We're not buying your bs anymore. You lie, you cheat, you steal, you commit fraud, you drive illegally, you vote illegally, you cost us money, you won't learn the language, you make demands without giving back, you don't pay your fair share, you embezzle money from American Citizens, you aren't loyal to the US and the hand that feeds you. I think we should put you all in jail and put you in chains and make you slaves to earn your keep until we can deport you. I also think you all need to have biochips implanted and when you comeback after deportation you should be tried as enemy combatants and be tried for treason and as spies and insurgents.
