If your neighbor was building a cannon in their front yard and has a poster on their porch saying that your family is the 'Great Satan' and needs to be destroyed. This same family building the cannon has paid others to attack your children and burn your car in the past.
Do you really want to wait until their cannon is completed? I think not - time to bomb then. We are not dealing with sane people. There are those, like the Iranian President that just can't wait to meet Allah.
One thing about the old Soviet Union is yes they murdered tens of millions of people, but they never wanted to lose Moscow or Leningrad (now once again called St. Petersburgh). Therefore the doctine of M.A.D (mutually assured destruction) worked with them as neither side wanted to lose their cities.
Iran is different, they don't care and believe they are doing Allah's will. That is scary and such people cannot be allowed to have weapons that can destroy whole cities. To let them would invite our own destruction and needless deaths around the world.

We should go to war with Iran because it is the right thing to do. Forget WMD's in Iraq and every other reason people give for getting the West out of the MIddle East. These are corrupt governments that slay their own people. It is the onus of the WORLD to take these wicked dictatorships out so that the people of these countries can live with the freedom and liberty they deserve.
Great Britain should lead the charge with strong backup from the U.S. and Australia. However, I don't see Great Britain doing this, as they have become weakened by liberal sentiment.
Great Britain was once a paragon of strength and Christian solidarity. However, it seems that the insidious liberal virus of Europe has begun to infect the British Isles. In reading all of the posts here about the captured British sailors, I am seeing a disturbing amount of British posters whining and complaining and seeking a "diplomatic" way out.
When will you liberals begin to understand that Muslims and other therrorists of similar ilk absolutely rely on liberal pansies to continue their ridiculous shenanigans. A serious show of strength is all it will take for Britain to take back their sailors from Iran and to show the Muslim terrorist world that the West is not to be trifled with.
I assure you that Churchill would not be mamby pampying around about this issue...
Be strong Britain and remember the Roman, Celtic, and Danish roots that have made you the fiercest island nation in the history of the world!

Iraq doesn't give us jack.
Iran is an actual threat unlike Iraq ever was after the Gulf War and the sanctions placed upon them.
I don't agree with the invasion and unlawful occupation in Iraq, but Iran needs to be blown off the map.

Want? Nobody "wants" to go to war with Iran. That's a nonsensical belief.
But there are people who recognize that if things don't change, it is inevitable. One of the things that needs to change is the Chamberlainian attitude toward Iran. The taking of the Marines in internationally recognized Iraqi waters was an act of war; an act that demanded an immediate and excessive reaction.
That Britain did not do so was a show of weakness. That we did nothing was also weakness. And weakness in the face of enemies always results in more death and violence, not less.

North Korea and Iran are a destabalizing force in the world and have gone out of their way to be enemies to the United States. Both are trying to develop Nuclear weapons and intercontinental ballistic missiles that can reach the U.S. Both have conspired to harm Americans where ever they can. Both have developed huge print houses devoted to printing counterfeit US dollars. Iran is funding and equiping the insurgency in Iraq that has prolonged the suffering of the Iraqi people and our involvement there. Iran always votes against us in the UN. I could go on and on.

Maybe you'll change your mind, when Iran completes the development of its nuclear program and deciedes to use nuclear wepons to attack the US.
I don't think any nation should have nuclear weapons (including the US). A country with a leader like Iran's who is more than willing to use such weapons for his religous ideas shouldn't be allowed to have nuclear weapons. Amenideghad, has said repatedly, that Israel should be wiped off the map, do you really think he would hesitate to use nukes to acheive that goal if he had them.
As for Iraq and oil, you are again mistaken. First, only 6% of imported US oil comes from Iraq, a majority comes from Canada. Secondly, if we went to Iraq for the oil, do think we would be paying such high gas prices. OPEC controls the price, and OPEC is comprised of countries that have an extreme dislike for the US.

The only reason that Dubya wants to invade Iran is because at that point, he could install several different governments in the Middle East that will play ball with us oil-wise. Everything would be all good right now, if it werent for Iran. Iran's president is at this point the proverbial monkey wrench in the whole machine, not to mention the fact that he said that he wants to exterminate all of the Jews from the Earth, lol.

The problem with minding our own business is that when we do that, people in other countries blame us for not doing anything to stop the "bad guys." The last time we tried minding our own business was in the 1930s and a fellow named Adolf made a big mess of things. Of course when we do act in an effort to help the "good" beat out the "bad" there's always some one whose gonna b*tch about how we do it, no matter how successful or insuccessful we are. Really its Catch 22.

We are the world super power and we must control the world's oil resources.
Saudi Arabia is in our pocket. We are securing Iraq. That leaves Iran for the near future and and Russia a little later. All the rest is theater.

This war is not about oil! I'm sick of everyone saying that!
Just look at all of the countries out there. Afghanistan, Iraq, pakistan, Iran...they're all the haborers and safe-guards for terrorists.
