get her something special and personal, base it on what she likes that not everyone else knows she likes; or take her somewhere unusual and romantic like to the beach on a summer night or a moonlit dinner on a rooftop.

It depends on what she like.
Here is an idea:
Run her a bath with bubbles and candles the whole works. Have warm towel waiting for her and a plate of fresh fruit and champagne. Lay her down and give her a relaxing massage and only expect a kiss in return.
