The name comes from the 1700's . A drink was decorated with a Chicken or "****" tail feather. Apparently it was popular and was frequently requested as " one of those cocktails". Like minding your P's and Q's. This was a reminder to watch your P's and Q's when you ran a tab on pints and quarts of drinks. When you started to owe a little too much, they say " Mind your P's and Q's"
