Iran are certainly giving the world a great excuse to take out their nuclear facilities. Israel and the U.S. have been planning it for a long time now, this could be the moment they've been waiting for to attack.

The Iranian navy should have been sent to Davy Jones' locker the next day, if the Marines weren't released.
I consider what they did an act of war that DEMANDED an immediate response. It was a terrible show of timidity and weakness to not have taken action. This harms the Western powers ability to negotiate with Iran on any level - they've shown a yellow belly, just like Carter did when they attacked our embassy.

Yes and no. Yes, because I feel the UK would be justified by retaliating against Iran this way, Iran knows the UK means business, plus it will help make the region somewhat more stable (I think).
No, because, I imagine the Iranians will find a way to blame the US for deystroying thier program, which could provoke Iran to step up military action against the US via thier military or through terrorism. I also would say no, because I think diplomacy should always be used before military force, even in cases where you aren't dealing with rational people.

Why are so many people so trigger happy on this issue? The 8 Brits detained by Iran in 2004 were released without bloodshed.

No, instead we must get rid of carpets, chandeliers, big wardrobes, big mahogany tables, and "records" of CIA, FBI, USAF, NYPD, LAPD, books, microfiches, magazines, LOC, air conditioners, etc. from the USA and send them to Korea where they can be burnt in the incinerator for we dont need these things in the USA occupying space that could be used for other, better purposes - FAA

I think a more SUITABLE target would be their Iranian Revolutionary Guard "Navy" sites along the Shatt al Arab... don't escalate it TOO far.
