People who beleive in the only the Bible believe that all other books are written by man alone (vice cersa with other religions) Just like God had the Bible created through prophets, isn't it possible that other books could be created through an evil power? Sometimes I doubt a man alone could write such a book. I am not hating on any religious book after all I am Mormon. Maybe you believe they were just really smart men?

Wassup: I was asking for peoples honest opinion on all religious books that they do not beleive in not just the Book of Mormon, but seriously that is really mature of you to take this oppurtunity to attack anothers religion.

Joseph Smith was very uneducated in secular schooling as his family was poor and had to work hard for their living. Joseph Smith's penmanship and spelling were atrocious. That notwithstanding, he was able to translate the Book of Mormon and other scripture. If could certainly be speculated that if he were to do this all on his own without Heavenly interention, that with his limited education, he would not be able to do it of himself.
That being said, the term, "By their fruits ye shall know them," applies.
Jesus said that a test to know is will is to do it, John 7:17 " If any man will do His will, he shall know of the doctrine, whether it be of God, or whether I speak of myself."

If you want to test the claims of anyone, try out the above test. If you discover that this word is good, or the seed, if you will is good, it will grow within you and prosper. Then you will know that the word, or seed, is a good one and from God.

Well, yeah! I challenge anyone to show me a book which was not written by man...whether it be religious or secular

What else? Was it written by mystical rabbits??

...the Book of Mormon was written by a man...no, not Joseph Smith...it was written mostly by a prophet named Mormon. The Bible was written by men...starting with Moses. And the Torah. And the Quran...sure you can tell me that Mohammed received it from angels...but he wrote down what they were saying. The Taoist texts were written by Lao Tse...hey have you ever seen Taoists on here bashing everyone? I haven't...hmmm...maybe we who believe in following Christ and being nice to everyone need to take a lesson from the Taoists.

Good people write good books. Good books are the basis for a good life. Pinkadot, can we have a gummy bear here?

All religious books were written by men, and almost all of them were written by groups of men. So you're probably right to doubt that one man could write such a book, because in most cases -- the Bible in particular -- one man didn't.
What their motivation for doing it was is another matter entirely.

I agree, men had spiritual "help" writing the other religious books (i.e other than the bible), but it wasn't from God. Where we'll disagree on is which side inspired the book of Mormon.

A book that contradicts itself and now known worldly knowledge thousands of times? Yes, think MEN could handle it, and I stress men, because the Bible was written by men when women did not have as much rights, and violence was not as looked down upon, as can be seen all throughout its texts.

Men wrote all the books that women didn't write. I imagine stupid men wrote the stupid stuff in the Bible and Book of Mormon, but I may be wrong....it may have been a woman.

Sure.
James MacPherson did. The Ossian Chronicles was translated from a set of plates in the ground.
Joseph Smith is one of a long list of people who did the same thing. Have a look at "The Curiosities of American Literature" by Disraeli. It lists something like 35 others before Smith who did the same thing.

People have - look at Scientology, for example, created out of whole cloth by L Ron Hubbard. So we have the sight (which would be funny if it wasn't so serious) of various human creations all claiming to be the version of the absolute truth.
