I got pulled over today for speeding in a school zone. (39 in a 25). it was a mistake since the school zone is only 80 feet long. but i didn't have my license on me so i gave him my social and he didn't give me a citation or anything. he asked for my home phone and my cell phone number. i didn't give any paperwork or i didn't sign anything. was it a warning or what? Will I get a ticket in the mail?

Be patient, unless you were born under a very lucky star, or Daddy is the town mayor, you'll be getting a visit from the authorities soon. Or at the very least a summons to appear. Speeding in a school zone is a very stupid and irresponsible behavior. I hope they crucify you.

Could be or maybe you just got "Really lucky". I'd just wait and see if you get a ticket in the mail or not. If one doesn't hit your mail box in the next two weeks, you'll probably be OK. But the more important thing is, did you learn anything from this? Like doing the posted speed limit, especially in a school zone?

If you didn't get a ticket at the time of the offence then you should most likely be in the clear. Suggestion, next time have you license on you, you are lucky he didn't cite you for not only speeding but drivng without a licences.

Do you mean that you did not get any paperwork from the officer? If you did, there should be a phone number at the bottom for you to call for more information if you are usure.

Good Luck!

No, the one required piece of paper to prove you got a citation / "Notice to Appear" is the citation from the officer. You must sign it to make it valid.

Maybe he just wanted your phone number.
