i think that people all need something to believe in. If they need to believe in Jesus, they have to deny Joe for their religions to make sense and be valid.

Because it is doubtful that Joseph is the Messiah.
No other reason. Jesus of Nazareth wasn't the only one to walk on water, Peter did as well but then lost faith through fear, and sank into the water.
As to the verification of the stories by the apostles from another source? Read what Dr. Luke a physician and an historian wrote! This man was an educated man who actually went and investigated the stories of the Messiah. There are two accounts of his research in the New Testament. The Gospel of Luke, and the book of Acts.
Aside from what was spoken, and written within the apostolic group, and from without the group of apostles. We have an ever increasing source of historic findings from archaeology to substantiate the historicity of the book of acts, the apostles writings, and other epistles written, and preserved in the Holy Bible.

Jesus' Divinity doen't come from His walking on water, it comes from a lot of other things!
If you haven't seen that already, then, it's not much use trying to tell you now, is there?
But, let me try.
'Let he who has not sinned cast the first stone!" How many people do you know are capable of facing a crazed mob and soothing them with a few words?
"verily, there be none so blind, as will not see!"
Think over it and read His story again.
Maybe you'll see Him for what He really was.
Pax vobiscvm, pax dominic.

well...like I've heard before (it may have been Ronald Reagan)...some dude, 2,000+ years ago, who wasn't a conquering general or a powerful dictator or a popular politician or stargazer or writer or explorer...one man who was only in the public eye for 3 years, who never traveled farther than, what, 60 miles? from the place of his birth...who was written about outside of the KJB (as far as I know, no reputable historian today doubts the existence of this man called Christ)...has more followers throughout history than any other...don't cha think there's SOMETHING to all that?

"Joe" did not die on a cross for my sins.
"Joe" is not the Son of God.
Why is the concept of FAITH so hard for you?
