last night I went out with some friends, I invited this guy I have been seeing (for 3 weeks) to hang out with us. He said he might come out, but wasn't sure. Well needless to say I had a few too many drinks, and sent him a text msg. saying I missed him. Now i'm afraid I freaked him out and may have ruined things...What should I do?

not care... if you freaked him out with the words 'i miss you' then that means he really wasn't mature enough to be in a relationship yet and you're not missing out on too much.

Honestly, everybody is different, But if you sent me a text msg saying that you missed me, I would really appreciate more than being freaked out by it. As a man, if this guy gets freaked out by that, something is wrong!

Hmm.. if you're afraid you've freaked him out by sending a simple text message, then I have serious doubts about anything substantial with this guy. Most normal, decent men are well rounded and can "take" a flaky moment or two a woman dishes out. It's all good.. if he is weirded out by small things imagine what he'll do when his wife is in labor!?!?!? LOL

Call him today and say "hey, we missed you last night." It'll sound like you're checking on him since you didn't see him the night before, instead of you seeming clingy from the night before.

Or, don't mention it unless he brings it up. If he does, then just say, "yea, we were out and I was just wishing you had been able to make it to hang out with us." Either way will work.

Next time give your phone to a friend, and only let her give it to you when you're ready to call your sober driver to take you home (he shouldn't be your sober driver after 3 weeks).

Why would he freak out?
If he freaks out for an "I miss you", then for sure you are up to a relationship where you will feel like you're walking on a floor full of egg shells.
No girl! you go say whatever you want and be happy about your freedom!

Do not do anything, just wait and see. Girls use drinking too much as excuses to do some stupid things like that. However, just pretend he is one of your friend who hang out with from now on, nothing special.

Stop second guessing yourself. Don't do anything, don't say anything and don't confess to any of your girlfriends. It may be blown way out of proportion by you. Don't be a drama queen, nobody likes a whiner and don't drink and text. Are you a girl or a woman? I guess you can be both. Oh well, good luck!

Girl, you're freaking out over nothing.. all is good.

A single message saying you iss him is nothing bad at all, jsut shows how much you care about him and you havnt forgotten him. If you had sent, say, a dozen or so messages then it would be a bit creepy but do not fret over jsut one- it's harmless and will not affect you two at all... good luck with the-relationship-that-will-continue!

Not a mistake. It is OK to miss some one. You haven't ruined things. you have been seeing him for a few weeks. I would say that he just thought you meant that you wish he had come and he was missed. No big deal.
