I would like to get a small tattoo on my outside upper thigh right under where the boyshort underwear would stop, one on each thigh and they are small symbols. Do you like the placement and how would they heal with clothes rubbing them every day?

I'm thinking about a horseshoe on one side and the pisces symbol on the other, I think the shapes compliment each other well.

Sounds cute! A good place, you can still cover them up if you want. Don't worry about what they look like when your 50, I get so tired of hearing that! Your whole body changes, does it really matter, I mean you may have a birth mark or scar and no one says oh just think what that is going to look like when your old! Give me a break. If you are sure that you want to do it and the symbols are something that you like or believe in then, go for it, the placement is good. Don't worry about it healing, it will be fine, you will just need to keep cream on it, as you do with every tat. I have 8 all together and hope to get a couple more and they have all been where clothes go. Good luck!

With any tattoo, make definitely sure you will want it later in life. Think about what job you maybe doing as an adult before having them placed. Some businesses make tattoos be covered up while on duty.

And dont worry as to how others feel or like the tattoos, as long as you like what you are wanting to get, and where you want it placed.

As far as the healing, best to put on a non perfumed hand lotion to help with healing without flaking: i always use Lubriderm Daily Moisture when healing mine. If the placement is going to be rubbed by clothing, from a pharmacy buy a few squares of breathable bandages. Clean it twice a day, and it should be done healing within a week, maybe two.

Last piece of advice, make sure you completely trust the artist doing the work, and make sure they are licensed and use sterile equipment on you, so as not to get a disease.

Unless you live in a place where you wear shorts/bathing suits all the time it will probably rub on your clothes. Also think about maybe expanding the tattoo a bit so it won't look so random. What symbols are you thinking about getting?

I say if you want to get a tattoo, go for it! I think it's a cool spot for tattoos. It should heal just fine. People get tattoos all the time in places where your clothes rub. It'll probably be sensitive for a few days, then fine.

I think that would be cute. I have a tattoo there but only on one thigh it healed just fine. Go for it just make sure you want it for the rest of your life because even when you do laser it still leaves a mark

Ok let me just get this out..I'm tired of people saying "what will that be like when ur 50...etc" WHO CARES!!

anyways...I think thats a great place for a tat! as far as healing, I would reccomend NOT wearing jeans...other than that it should heal perfectly following all the aftercare instructions.

Can't see any problems with the placement myself. The only time you'll have a problem with you'r clothes rubbing on them is when they haven't healed, as soon as they heal you'll have no probs.

that would be cute! but think about it first. you have picked a good place for them because they are easily well hidden! as far as the healing goes, wear your normal clothes but when you get home take off your pants to let it breathe! if you let it sufficate or put a band-ade over it you will most likely get a rash, so just give it as much air as possible!

I think any tattoo is a mistake. However you are placing them in a discrete place on your body. I think you would not have a problem with the healing process. Be sure to select a tattoo artist that has a good reputation and view his work. Don't want to get stuck with poor workmanship. Enjoy your tattoo.

i think it would be very cute! just wear soft pants and it wont bother it, maybe short shorts, or do it on a friday so if you dont work on the weekends you can just longe around in your boyshorts! I like the idea though, creative....
