Like the others said, wrapping it in a damp paper towel will prolong the shelf life for a couple days, however the best method is to leave the herbs bunched together as they came. Fill a coffee cup about half-way with water and put the cut side into the cup (same philosophy as putting cut flowers in a vase.) You do not need to refrigerate the herbs if you do this.
A couple of bonuses is that your kitchen will smell fresh and if you use a cute cup it can be decorative.
Hope that helps. :o)

I use parsley and cilantro for rabbit food also. Try snipping the bottoms and putting them in a jar with a bit of water. Keep in the fridge. This should help keep them longer. Make sure to take it out of the plastic, the moisture from keeping it in the bag is what's causing it to spoil.

Two things you can do.
When I buy parsley and cilantro, the supermarket sprays them with too much water so they're kind of wet when I buy them.
1. It's the extra moisture that sogs out the herbs.
Dry the herbs off, as dry as possible, and store in a loose bag (no damp towel needed) or store out of the bag on top of a dry paper towel.
2. Keep the herbs in a glass of water. This works, but kind of a hassle for me since I tend to knock things over.

When you get home take it out of the bag it came in and water a paper towel and ring it out as best as you can so it is a little damp and then wrap it around your herbs and put in a ziploc bag making sure to get the air out of the bag should last about 1 1/2 to 2 weeks this way

I find that putting them in a small glass the adding a little water, this keeps them fresh longer cause they are still drinking the water and just keep it in the kitchen or next to your rabbits

Put the herbs in a ziplock bag with a moistened paper towel in the bottom. That should increase the herbs longevity.

Wrap them in a wet paper towel and then put them in the plastic bag. You're right though, it's pretty sensitive stuff. Keep it stored in the "crisper" and use it as much as you can.
