So true. Children need discipline and guidance from parents. Parents need discipline and guidance from God.

They LIKELY could have been exposed to false representation of Christianity. This is just as bad as NO Christianity at all. They both lead to destruction.

We have to get to the root. Those things are manesfetations of tis country's departure from basic, wholesome values. If we fix the problem at the root (get our hearts right); these worldly desires won't have chance to creep in.

wow, that is sick and like wow, they obviously definitly have no parental supervision, and i mean ,part of the reason kids act like this, is because of their parents, well alot of times it is because of them, and from my point of view(im 14) i think that from what i kno in the world so far, it is our parent's generation's fault, not totally the kids, but i am definitly not saying that it is right for kids to do these kind of things at all, it is really really wrong, i am just saying that, instead of punishing the kids fully, the parents of kids should get in trouble too in these kind of cases, because alot of parents nowadays, dont give a c r a p about what their kids are doing, so it is definitly some of their faults cuz i dont think many people relize that it was their generation that raised kids up to be like this....

Heinous crimes are in the Bible but only to show what was going on back in history. The Biblically unlearned person does not know that God chose Israel as His people who were to be without sin but they could not cleanse themselves from all unrighteousness, therefore Jesus had to come.
When God tells parents - do not raise a rebellious child - God means it. God will put a rebellious child or adult into eternal hell fire.
You can't be your child's friend. Every child must be disciplined and taught respect and the knowledge of God. To do otherwise is killing your child with your own hand.

The real question is 'what became of parenting?'. I'm not saying kids were always good in the past, but you can't help but notice that as soon as everyone got on this craze of being their kids' friend and not disciplining them problems became more rampant. And by disciplining them, I do mean giving them a good thwack every now and again. I by no means condone abuse, but now that you can't even give your kid a pat on the diaper without being reported, what do you expect these kids to be like? And it has nothing to do with religion, it has everything to do with society, manners, respect, so on.

Well seeing as the link won't work for me I'm gonna have to assume this is Orlando Florida and thus you're asking "how ungodly can [America] stoop?" Assuming for a second that makes sense, how long have you got? I mean I'm sure whatever these kids did was awful, but come on, have you SEEN some of the stuff America has done? And lorks, they're/you're still doing it!!

Has the ACLfu jumped in to protect the boys yet?
Yes this country is a reflection of the misguided govt. Lost billions of $$ w/o a trace but they can prosecute fiercely two decent Border Agents and treat the illegal dope smuggler like a king. This is the standard this FAULTY govt is presenting. We need to start making OUR voices heard just like other groups do AND get their way.

Don't even you think it's a bit of a jump from "a 10 year old boy did something" to "how ungodly can this nation stoop"? One person is not a nation, and people have decried the degrading morals of the next generation since time began.

"He said the violence is similar to hate crimes against minorities and gay people years ago.
"It's becoming less socially acceptable to attack other groups, so the homeless now are taking the mantle of [becoming] the universally acceptable target for aggression."Daytona Beach police Chief Mike Chitwood said the boys' actions may have been the result of bad parenting and a violent society influenced by video games."
I wonder who could have been the perpetrators against gay people? I wonder what religion they were? I also wonder if those boys heard about it.? No mention of their families.
You are right though, the violence out there today is alarming and rising as we speak.
You lost me at the rejected Him part because that is beyond ludicrous.

The problems start at home. If a child isn't disciplined or doesn't have to face the consequences of their actions, of course they're going to turn out bad in most cases.

well, when kids grow up in a country that glorifies violence what do you expect? our "leadership" makes war on weaker countries and has legalized the use of torture in the name of "fighting terrorism", shows like "24" and NCSI depict torture as a reasonable method of extracting info, hip hop and rap advocates violence and thuggery. violence is acceptable in our country and kids learn by example.
and about that "Godless" routine. if those kids had needed any justification for attacking that old man a Bible would have easily provided it as it has provided justification for heinous behavior for centuries. can you say ... witch hunts, inquisition, KKK?
and don't forget the pollutants in our food, water, air and soil. who knows what effect such chemicals are having on the young and fragile brain.
PS. hurt myself? by recognizing that god or no god a child does what his environment forms him to do? um ... ok.

WOW that is sad. I am not a parent yet but I have seen what is happening to my younger counterparts and even to my little sister in law, although nothing that disturbing. Parents need to realize that there is a Spiritual war going on and the devil is going after everyone, especially children. Parents need to speak to their children so that they may be aware of these things and not fall victim to them. We all need to get more involved in getting the word out to our young brothers and sisters.
