Because the evil evolutionists need to raise an army of evolving monkeys to take over the world.

(for the sake of this question) Liberals push evolution because they are a little more tolerant than conservatives are. They understand that not everyone in the United States - or even in the world believes in the Christian God or his Bible.
Now, I have never come across any Liberal who exclusively pushes the theory of Evolution. In fact, the Liberals that I know don't seem at all that concerned with Creation. I suppose they figure that since there is no proof one way or the other - why bother.

Because so much is "omitted" in the Tanakh. *hebrew chronology and scripture* The earth says it is over 4 1/2 billiion years old, yet Jews teach the world is only about or around 5000 years old. Are "words" more factual than "evidence?" If they are then we are in for a lifetime of confusion much as the past has been..............In accordance with your beliefs, so as not to be arrogant, God in Jewish faith never SAID he did not EVOLVE everything he ever created, and have never understood the arguement between evolutionist and persons of faith. When you make eggs and ham, you first have to "cook" the meal so it evolves to the state of eating it. To believe any god just made us or anything else like a witch conjuring up a spell is denying relative time itself for nothing exists in an INSTANT.........

This is not a "liberal" issue. Your pastor is trying to make this into something political.
I am a Christian and I want my kids to be taught science in schools during biology class not biblical doctrine. And in case you and your pastor didn't know, the vast majority of those who accept that evolutionary science IS a valid field of scientific study are believers in God and Christians.
If you don't want to learn biology, then flunk out of that class. You'll only make yourself more ignorant.

It's because their "pastors" are teaching them that evolution is in accord with the Bible, the choose to ignore one Fact, That in the Beginning God Created the world and everything in it.

And unfortunately that is the problem people have with christians, it is the judging, no matter what they call it , it boils down to the judging of others that make people not want to be christian, turn that finger inward where it can do some good. tell your pastor to do the same. tell everyone to do the same because that is the only place you or anyone else has the right to do. Acccording to God.

This is interesting, that some people believe in "God", and believe "God" created us; some people believe that we created "God"; some people believe that Bible or Koran or whatsoever created by "God"; some people believe in evolution. I can see you are in doubt.(Doubt is necessary, especially in this matter) Then investigate it more, read more of different subjects, for example about sciences. The more you have broad minded, the more you can see things clearly.

Maybe those liberals don't believe that the bible is any more than a story book. That's doesn't make them any less knowledgeable or intelligent. In fact, I think that a lot of christian stories and concepts are implausible.

It is clearly stated in the Bible that you should not pray out loud, so why do Christians keep doing so?
(Matthew, chapter 6, verses 5, 6 and 7. Jesus’ followers had asked him how to pray.) He said:
===============
And when thou prayest, thou shalt not be as the hypocrites are: for they love to pray standing in the synagogues and in the corners of the streets, that they may be seen of men. Verily I say unto you, they have their reward.
But thou, when thou prayest, enter into thy closet, and when thou hast shut thy door, pray to thy Father which is in secret; and thy Father which seeth in secret shall reward thee openly.
But when ye pray, use not vain repetitions, as the heathen do: for they think that they shall be heard for their much speaking.
==================
You guys use repititions, too; at least all of the televised prayers I have seen do.
Oh, you say, he didn't mean that LITERALLY; just that we should be sincere when we pray. Fine. Then we liberals don't have to take Genisis LITERALLY. Instead of creating each species one by one, the Lord could have breathed life into the first single-celled creature 3.5 billion years ago, knowing, in His infinite wisdom, that it would eventually evolve into a multitude of creatures, some of whom would, in time, climb out of the trees, look up into the infinite cosmos and worship Him.
If you say you have to take Genesis literally, then take Matthew literally too and start remodeling your church to put in a lot of closets. Put a little light in each one; you should have some kind of light in your church, even if you ignore the light of reason.
Ask your pastor to tell you about subject-verb agreement, too.

I'm not a liberal but I don't question the fact of species evolution. Even the theory of evolution is infinitely more credible than any other competing "theory".
