The best way for you to find what they feel/believe is to ask them. I can tell you that as Witnesses we believe in following the Bible. Does this mean we always get it right? No. We are ALL imperfect. If the brocures bother you, please let them know. A good website for answer to various queries is http://www.watchtower.org
Also monday evening we will be celebrating the memorial of Christs death, as he instructed during the last supper.

JW's are recognized as some of the top bible scholars. They know the book very well. And the follow it.
The birthdays, holidays, etc they don't follow for the bible tells us not to. Christmas, Easter, the cross are all pagan items that were brought out of Egypt. Well the bible is clear on not bringing such traditions with us and even goes as far as saying not to worship an image or idol, metal, stone, wood, etc.
The ones that are in the group normally don't hold a job, but work for the JW community. Some places have like communities where people live in small apts, they all dine together, they do studies together and all that live there keep it all running.
I have looked into them, don't let most of the hearsay bother you about them. Most bash on them strictly cause they go door to door. But is that not how Jesus worked? Walked town to town?
Only issues I have with them is.....spread the word, fine, but if someone asks you not to return or something, respect that. And the other is they have bent some of their own rules by following a man instead of the book itself.
If you want to know something about the bible, ask a JW, most will know the info better than others.

They don't observe or celebrate pagan holidays, or man made traditions. Basically if it isn't in the Bible, they don't follow it. They are more like what the early Christians were like before the council of Nicea and the Catholic take over of the faith.

They believe that Jesus made his invisible return in 1874, according to the measurements their founder Charles Russell made in the corridors of the pyramid of Giza. Then they made another thousand predictions that all failed. They believe that 144,000 anointed ones will go to heaven directly after death. All of the other Jehovah's will die and go to 'mans common grave' and will be resurrected at the time of Armageddon and will enjoy everlasting life in paradise earth.
They don't believe in taking blood transfusions, yet allow for certain blood fractions to be taken. What makes no sense is that one of the 'fractions' that they don't allow is present in organs, however they allow organ transplants. It makes no sense. They change their policies more than Michael Jackson changes noses.
What they won't tell you is that they are a cult that brainwashes their members into thinking that everyone else in the world is 'worldly' and bad association. They disfellowship people if they question the doctrines and disagree with them. If someone is df, their family is supposed to disown them and never speak to them.
Worst of all they have a policy that allows for alleged pedophiles not to be reported. They have a database of names of them at their headquarters in Brooklyn called Bethal. Known as the watchtower headquarters.

Mind your own business. They are not harming you. They don't go to war nor send their kids to war.
