i downloaded a movie that i want to burn to dvd. the extentions is
ts.proper.xvid. i currently use dvd decrypt,dvd shrink and convertx to dvd. i tried to drop and drag the files too the convertx and it keeps telling me this is not a supported or .avi file. they are winrar files but when opened they have a .avi file in them. what am i doing wrong?

You need to extract the files if there are AVIs inside the main file, you can't load a compressed file into most media programs. WinRAR works great for this. also if your unsure about a media file GSpot Codec analyzer works great, just search for GSpot codec to find it, tells you what format it is so you can use the proper extension.

since you are using dvd shrink.you have nero.use nero to encode.

Perhaps you don't have XVID codec loaded.
