If you have a mind that asks this question...almost...there is not difference..
Although there are sins bigger then others like:
saying God doesn't exist and you are having halucinations..not visions from the evil spirits- is is a bigger sin ..then stealing..and saying so ..it is almost the same sin..it even worst..Adam and Eve ..didn't want God wouldn't exist...they just wanted to be like a god..to know everything...
I think saying God doesn't exist ..and you are having haluciunations...if you see..the beings..made by God ..before making us(angels and demons)or other things..coming from the other world..-it is a sin as big as the original sin...If the sins weren't big....as the original ..sin...there was no hell..and the hell would have been abolished...But most of the sins are as big as the original sin..with some exceptions..like stealing...I guess...stealing from rich..like Robin Hood..who robbed the rich and give to the poor..I think this is not quite a big sin..on the contrary ..I think is an exception..God forgives with all his heart..Or taking a woman as your wife and cheating her..and keeping her as your wife without loving her..is also a big sin..because you destroy her life...she could have married ..someone that loves her..I think this is one of the biggest sins...we should be counscious..what sin is..because if they were no ''sins''we would have go to Heaven only if we wanted the knowledge of God..or if we did smth against His Own Person...not others..And I think is a sin...because God has identified Himself with everyone of us...saying if we do smth evil to them we do to Him(to Jesus Christ and Jesus is also a God, coming in the name of God The Father...His Father FIRST..and if we do good..we also do to Him..so people are having soul from God..that is why ..the sins are sins and can send us to hell..'cos we hurt them...and spending 100 here while others make you suffer..is not easy...But there is forgiveness..we all must do...

Original sin is the One of Adam and Eve. A sin of disobedience. It went for generations of Jews (Do not believe any Christian teachings that non-Jews are still part of it. It's a total deception.)It was forgiven at the time of Moses after he successfully brought them out of Egypt and declared in Deuteronomy 24:16 Father shall not be put to death for their children, nor the children for their father, each is to die for his own sin.
Ezekiel 18:3-26...This is too long to list it down, read it and you will find that even Jesus' death is not necessary (they say "Jesus died for mankind's sins.)
Choosing to sin the in eyes of God is simply defying to do HIs commands as living righteously. He gave His commandment and if anyone of them is not followed intentionally then that is it.

--Original sin is indeed inherited from Adam in that we are easily inclined to the wrong, because of our gaining his choice, as is somewhat referenced in this text;

(Genesis 6:5) “5 Consequently Jehovah saw that the badness of man was abundant in the earth and every inclination of the thoughts of his heart was only bad all the time.”

--SIN AGAINST GOD:

(James 1:13-15) “13 When under trial, let no one say: “I am being tried by God.” For with evil things God cannot be tried nor does he himself try anyone. 14BUT each one is tried by being drawn out and enticed by his own desire. 15 Then the desire, when it has become fertile, gives birth to sin; in turn, sin, when it has been accomplished, brings forth death.”

--THIS involves deliberate action!

I have read many of your questions concerning the subject of original sin, predeterminism, fate predestiny free will..and I believe that the root question is this.

DID GOD KNOW THAT MAN WOULD SIN?

Yes.
Original Sin is unavoidable, it is part of our Nature passed down from Adam.

Choosing to Sin is our willful transgression of God's WORD.

The only true original sin is to think you have it.

I don't understand how anyone could answer this question as it relates to how God see it.
I can't even tell you how another person might see it without speaking to him.
All you can get is someones interpretation, based on the writings of his/her church or temple, and even at that, there will be divisions on what the answer is according to what that sect chooses to put an emphasis on.
We seem to all think we have the only correct interpretation of Gods beliefs, not all of them can be right.

yes. The difference is that original sin the the nature that we were born with. Choosing to sin is your personal choice. you can choose to commit that sin or choose not to commit that sin.

I will add that

Persons not having been born from above will always commit one or more sins.

Those who have been born from above have the ability to choose to commit a sin or not to commit a sin.
