I'm going to be driving from Naples to Disney World on Sunday May 13 (early morning so I hope traffic won't be an issue). In the Past I've always gone I-75 to Tampa and then taken I-4 over to Orlando. Mapquest has suggested that I take take I-75 to Port Charlotte and then take US-17 up the middle of the state. Is this way really faster? It seems like US-17 can't move nearly as quickly as I-75. Which way should I go?

I-75 to I-4, definitely! US-17 is stop-and-go, with traffic lights and city traffic. The interstates are usually your best option.

I-75 is the best way! US-17 will take you longer!
