I dunno, on one hand it seems like it would be fun. But on the other maybe its a little much for people who are still trying to get to know each other and etc.?? Does it matter there will lots of alcohol everywhere and drunken people everywhere?? What do you think? Or should we start off with something a little more standard.
I don't want to give the wrong impression on a first date and want him to take me seriously. Or in other words will he respect me less I go to a nightclub with him on first date?
P.S. - the nightclub idea was a mutual one....as we were just tossin out ideas of what we might like to do. THANKS :)

Thanks guys! your feedback has been great!
BTW...we'd have a 30-40 min drive to get there so we'd have plenty of time to talk and etc in the car.

as long as you both know it was just an idea and you're not out there to abuse the atmosphere of the nightclub all should be fine. just control yourself and act the way you normally would and everyhitng should be fine. he cannt judge you by the location you guys are at, but only how you act while there, so i see no problem with respect for you just by going to the nightclub.

I think that the whole idea of a first date is to get to know each other better, see what you two like, dislike, similar at, not similar at sort of things. It requires sort of balance and clear thinking so that you can decide whether you two should keep on dating or it just isn't going to work.
A bar isn't the type of place that will give you the good environment to judge or think clearly about your date. With lots of alcohol, music, and dance you two will go just to have fun instead of know each other.
I don't recommend a bar. Make it a bit standard at first, then you two can be crazy later on.

A first date should be dinner then a movie. Not a date with alcohol involved. Reason is. First impressions are very important. If your interested in some one you don't want to get drunk an make all kinds of stupid mistakes. LOL

if you like dancing, then try a small lounge with a dancefloor, its more intimate, plus you can sit and have dinner.
otherwise, i say no because will you be able to hear each other? how well do you cope with men asking you to dance while your with him(if your an attn seeker then this might be good 4 u) in a nightclub there are just so many impersonal elements

This could turn out to be a really good thing, actually. YOu can see how he behaves when he's around alcohol and a thousand whores dressed scantily. If the night ends without you catching him staring at girls asses, or getting sloppy drunk (which is the BIGGEST turnoff in a guy) or trying to rape you on the dance floor, he's a keeper.

Actually the more people around you the better for the first date..give u more security... especially if u don't know him that well... Get my drift?--plus if you think he's "out there" you can ditch him easily... meet him there... though... just 2 b safe...
