Yes, they do. Their habitat is specifically given as the intertidal zone. Limpets are often found attached to rocks, and they graze on algae.

The majority of limets reside in the inter-tidal zone. Some species though have a preference for living further down the shore where they are not exposed as often when the tide goes out.

They graze on green algae and this grows higher up the shore in the inter-tidal zone, so this explains why limpets are found here also.

yes limpets live in intertidal inviroments they open when the tide surges and close to preseve air inside the water they keep as the tide receeds
