He would be an ape. Because they remind me of big dumb apes.

There is no animal that can be compared to God in attributes and appearance. Indeed, nothing and nobody can be compared unto God. With regard to gods, however, different things and animals have been known to symbolize them. For instance, a cow is sacred in India for some religious reason.
