The person in the bathroom stall next to you answers a phone call and then continues to talk while "doing their business"?

yes. its disgusting and rude. I go to the stall to enjoy a minute of quiet solitude, and some guy wants to yack on his phone? And what does that say about the person he's talking to? You can usually hear 'chamber echo' when you're talking on the cell in the bathroom. "Hello? Yeah? Oh, well your call isn't that important to me to stop taking a dump and take it in the office or call you back; so we'll just talk while in here doing my thing. Git er' done!"

Not really, although I would NOT borrow or ask to use their phone. It's definitely not hygienic to use it while in the bathroom stall, but that's their problem. If it bothers you, making some very loud bathroom noises might lead them to cut short their conversation. Just don't leave until after they do.

Next time that happens to you, you should say loudly, "I am trying to use the restroom. Can you please take your conversation somewhere else." This should sufficiently embarrass them and perhaps prevent them from doing this in the future.

...and just think what the person on the other end of the line would think!!!

The bathroom is the one place where everyone should have peace and quiet!

What other people do in the privacy of their stall is their business. No pun intended.

Not really, you can't control when your phone rings. I'd personally say I was busy and call back later but if someone else doesn't want to do that, their choice. If someone was dialling out I'd seriously wonder what was so important it couldn't wait!

YES. I think cell phones should be banned in public places period. Step outside. WE dont give a damn what color paper your mom wants you to pick up, what size can of beans or other pressing info you feel compelled to talk about...

Eh, not really. I would be a little uncomfortable but as long as they weren't talking to me while I was doing my business then i probably wouldn't mind too awful much.

yeah...about that. i haven't been known to do this at all, and quite frankly I think it's a little nasty. It's kindof like when you are eating dinner and your phone rings. it's rude, and i believe that when you are in the restroom you should be respectful to others who might be trying to *cough* "concentrate". Besides, no one wants to hear a tinkle or a plop.

It would bother me unless it was an interesting conversation. But normally, I don't like public calls, IE: on buses, trains, subways etc.
I feel it's very rude and annoying.
