You're pretty much right. God doesn't care if you read the Bible or go to church, he cares about how you live your life and the way you treat others.

The good works of believers are engendered by their faith (James 2:14-19), and faith is what justifies us (Romans 3:28).

The faith walk is not, however, meant to be a thing we do alone--we need the support and encouragement (and to give support and encouragement to) other believers, which is why the Lord's church was set up. After all, God made us to be social creatures, and He certainly never meant for His people to try to "go it alone"--and, besides, a group of believers working together is true synergy, where the whole becomes much greater than the sum of its parts.

God bless you in your striving to please Him.

G_d is everywhere and in everything so I choose not to go to Church regularly. My Bible is by my bed for easy reference if I need it, but I don't read it very much.

I know G_d loves me and guides me and in return I give my heart and body to him to use as he sees fit. I felt at a young age that G_d asked me to do work for him and I have spent my whole life since learning and training to do the work he set me. I could see no other life for me and was happy with that.

No-one could persuade me that to appease G_d I will have to go to Church every week, pray every night and read my bible frequently - I know it would make little difference to my life and in the end I would resent the confinement it places on me.

G_d Bless

hey, are u really sure the religions u are now can assure u in afterlife??
The bible have many contradictions in it, can u still accept it as a holy book?
Read the bible thoroughly, and u will find many contradictions..
Does bible nowaday is really words from God?
Or it has been manipulated by human?
And, the Trinity? It doesn' make sense, the three in one stuff.
If Jesus is God, than the father is also God?
Does Jesus really a saviour that cleanse human sins?
If so, why in bible, Jesus says when he is about to be crucified, he cried to The Father?
If he is going to be saviour, he should be grateful to be crucified.
READ THE BIBLE, AND YOU WILL FIND MANY CONTRADICTIONS..

Amen. Goin gto church and reading the bible are only the beggining.

To find the true will of our creator and true purpose in life are much more complex. Personally, I try my best to find time to study and meditate to find purpose and the will of our creator but am often caught up in "busy-ness"

Obedience is what God wants from us. We are saved by faith, not by works.

To please God I feel that you must discover your world and give yourself wholly to it. For God gave us alone this world so we must relish in it.

yes, we are to do these things, but in order to please God we must have faith. The Bible says that without faith it is impossible to please God.
