I could not let this question get by without telling you that was a really sweet tribute to your father. At 40, I look more like my mother, but when I was younger I favored dad. Yeah, I miss the comparison, as I hold him in a high and totally different esteem than any one else. I guess looking like him helps you feel closer to him....well, God bless you and your family, regardless of who you favor.

I know all to well and exactly how you feel!!!
I'm 28 and it's been almost 5 years (August 27 2002) that my mom passes away.
EVERY one said that I look just like my mom, and that when they see me they see her. I like it cause even though I can't see her when I look in the mirror I can. Well at least a very strong resemblance of her. if you know what I mean.
However my dad said that he has a hard time with it sometimes because I do look so much like her, and he loved her so much that it hurts him. They were together for 26 years.
But as I'm getting older I'm seeing little things that are changing on me that slightly alter the look I have and I'm no longer keeping "her" look.
Like my hair is getting darker, and we were both radiant blonds, and I'm putting on a little more weight. Both I can change but still.... I know where you're coming from!
But it is a wonderful feeling isn't it......

I favor my dad, (except for the hazel eyes, those are Mom's)he died when I was 11 years old. But my mother seems to think as I've gotten older (I'm 40) I look more and more like her, which I don't want to. But you can't pick your parents, can you? I still think I favor my dad, it would be neat to see what he would look like now (he would be 70).

After living with my parents for 18 years I am positive they have rubbed off on me somehow. I take after neither in my opinion but also see some very unpleasant qualities come through from time to time, such as my impatience.
I dread the day I lose either one, I do not envy you but I know we all must go through it.
: )
Happy Spring !

My face is identical to my mother's, but my wrestling physique comes from my many famous boxing champion ancestors. My negative personality is so much like my dad's (judge mental, annoyingly brainy (he creates fractal software for recreation),impatient, lazy). All of my positive traits are from my mom (independent, adventurious, crazily insane, creative). But of course I have achived my high rank in the Star Trek ladder by myself!

Yes, and it's a great thing to know that you are a mixture of those two people. Imagine if you had to know that you were just like someone who only had a passing relationship with a test tube - sperm donor number x954cf!

i look like the exact combo of my parents, i have both of their facial features, i'm just the complete mix of them! in terms of behavior i'm basically my mom! even my mom and i laugh about it because i tell her that i'm turning into her. i think its because i was really close with her when i was young and i just picked up her traits
