I had windows vista already in my computer, but I get it from a friend, he gave me the program to install it was working good for a short time then the program began to asking for a reactivation numbers code keys, unfortunatelly I cannot activate and my computer was locking. I have my restore CD's for XP system and I would like to back to restore to the original but I cannot get access to any computer normal funcion except to to get a new key, and of course you must to pay for it.
Please some of u guys known how I can to restore my comp.

You can try going into the bios and telling the system to boot from a cd, place the restore cd into the drive and reboot the system.

You can not "downgrade" from Vista to XP. To remove Vista you will have to format the hard drive and then do a complete reinstall of Windows XP from your CD.

Or, you could contact Microsoft and purchase an activation code from them.

To get your computer in good working order, go to www.kubuntu.org and get an open source operating system for free, then format your hard drive and install Kubunutu.

Use some bootable system disk format the hard disk.Then reinstall the system you want.

it goes something like this.....put your win xp disk in drive, boot up pc, keep pressing f2 to get bios screen up, change the config so you make the cd drive the one to boot from, save and exit, you pc will now start up but read from your xp disk......that may not be exact, but thats the jist.....
