I remember from high school that a fruit has seeds in it, and a veggie doesn't .... so a tomatoe, cucumber, zucchini, eggplant, pumpkin, hubbard squash, citron, lime, crenshaw melon, mandarin, tangerine, summer squash, clementine, feijoa, kumquat, lucuma, longan, passion fruit, tomatillo, yamamomo, apricots, plums, pawpaw, lingonberry, mulberry, persimmon, butternut squash, cranberry, blueberries, pomelo, pomegranate, blackberries, rose hip, greengage plums, rowan, loquat, pluot, prickly pear, wolfberry, gooseberry, elderberry, huckleberry, raspberries, grape, mango, avocado, jujube, coffee (I think the beans are the seeds of the coffee berry) kiwi, grapefruit, lemon, peach, apple, cherries, pears, peppers, watermelon, canteloupe, figs, dates and olive should be fruits by definition
while some vegetables are: potatoe, carrot, broccoli, cabbage, brussel sprouts, parsnips, celery, lettuce, endive, shallots, onions, leeks, garlic, asparagus, kale, watercress, jicama, turnip, sweet potatoe, beets, fennel, chinese cabbage, red cabbage, yams, kholrabi, parsley, radishes, pineapple (it has no seeds, though we term it a fruit, but check it out), spinach, taro, rhubarb, cactus, angelica, rape, cauliflower, cardoons, dandelion leaves, artichoke, bilberry also called whortleberry, wineberry, rapini, bok-choy, mustard greens, beet greens, collards, chicory, arugula, epazote, radicchio, sorrel, swiss chard, winter purslane, bamboo shoots, bean sprouts, cassava, daikon, ginger, horseradish, rutabaga, salsify, wasabi, water chestnut, wakame, ogonori, kombu, AN "X" VEGETABLE: Xanthosoma, which is the botanical name of it.. and is also called commonly, malanga, cocoyam, tannia, and other names, canna, day lily, konjac, skirret, maca, black cumin, okra, yellow rocket (or just rocket if you need an "R"), alfalfa sprouts, burnet, nasturtium, wasabi
This is about as much as I could find or think of... some of it was from Wikipedia.org
