Yes, I've been there. It seems like no matter how much you give of yourself, it is never enough or just doesn't matter. If you are in a relationship like this, it may be time to ask yourself if you are getting what you need from it. A relationship is about 2 people and should meet the needs and expectations of both people. If you are not getting the love and respect you need and deserve despite all of your efforts, you may be with the wrong person.

I have thought like that in the past, until I woke up. One thing that you always have to remember that it is not you. As long as you be yourself and you know that you did your best that is all that you can do. If a person chooses not to appreciate that then that is their lost. Don't ever try to change much of yourself to please someone because it always goes unnoticed. Raise your self esteem. Dress up and go out. Have fun!! Have the attitude that you deserve only the best and don't settle for anything less!! Good Luck

You should never give your heart and soul to someone in order to seek approval or try to prove what a good person you are.
The problem doesn't lie within yourself, the problem is with the person you are trying to prove yourself to.

yes all the time especially lately-- im engaged and i still feel like i have to be the strong one and whatever i do is never good enough --i pour my heart and soul into our relationship but i always feel like he could be happier with someone who isnt sick or is prettier or just better than me--i just hope this feeling goes away ...he always tells me that he cant be happier with anyone else and he feels the same way about me...maybe its normal if you truly love someone you want them to be happy and have the best......good luck..

Yes but don't give up. It's your personality and it's a good one. The other person doesn't appreciate of what you have to offer. Move on and a nice person will come along who will appreciate you 110%.

Like with my electrical engineering degree, I tried my best but it was so hard, the maths was insane. I didn't think that I was not good enough but rather though to myself that this is not the best degree for me...so I transferred degrees.

You should be good enough without giving your heart and soul.

You should be loved and respected for who you are.

I think this is a feeling many people experience after a breakup.
