We believe the Trinity because the Bible clearly teaches it. God is one in essence and three in persons. We are monotheists, not tri-theists. Like a cluster of grapes, one cluster yet multiple grapes. We believe the Lord is one. (Deuteronomy 6). If I could explain everything about God, I would be god (blasphemy). If I could explain everything about God, either God is very small or I am very big. God is limitless and we are limited, He is infinite and we are finite, God is eternal, we all have had a beginning. Even Einstein understood this. Yes, some things we believe by faith in what God has revealed that we were actually created in His image and not vice-versa. People can't explain why electricity works, but it does. Does anybody out there who cannot explain why electricity works ( I didn't say how but why) refuse to turn on their lights? Why then do people refuse to believe that God is actually God, Father, Son and Holy Spirit even though we cannot totally understand it.? What God has revealed, that God the Father sent His Son to die for sinners and the Holy Spirit opens the mind and heart to understand the gospel and we pass from death to life. The Holy Spirit "seals the deal" and we are eternally God's child forever.

Dear Primo,
In answer to your question I would like to share with you the thoughts I put on paper 12 years ago when my jw mom was absolutely livid with me because I do not call my heavenly Father by the name she uses. "He has a personal name, you HAVE to use it."
"... I read Psalm 54 while I wiped away tears."
"At verse 1 - 'Save me, O God by your name ...' I asked God what name I should use for Him. I told Him that I would use whatever name He tells me to use, whether it be Jehovah, Yahweh, Father or anything else."
"The very first thing that popped into my head when I woke was TRUTH and that was followed by LOVE & LIGHT."
"Jesus says: I and the Father are one. Those who have seen me have seen the Father. He does NOT say 'Those who have seen me have seen about 80% of the Father.'"
"If there is no Trinity then Jesus' words are less than true. If those words are not the whole truth then other words might also be false."
"Either this is true: God =Jesus + X
or this is true: God = Jesus = Holy Spirit"
The Watchtower Witnesses go for the former which makes me ask what is X equal to? It just does NOT compute. It does not in any way say what the Bible says.
The jws take apart the Bible the way a person takes apart a bicycle or a car engine so they can clean the parts. But when they put it back together they no longer have a bicycle or a car engine that functions.

Funny....I just answered a question about the Trinity and I answered it like this: (please forgive the copy & paste)
When Jesus was baptized by John the Baptist, a voice came out of Heaven saying this is my beloved son, in whom I am well pleased. At the same time the Holy Spirit descended like a dove. It doesn't actually say Trinity but it shows all three together at one time.

No different than what they used to claim about all the Pharaoh's of Egypt, every Emporer of Rome. Personally, I don't care if you believe in a Trinity... but it's hardly unique. And most Pagans understand it perfectly... it's been part of our heritage since the ancient religions first formed. Though, personally, I don't see anything spiritually truthful about deifying a man. Of course, this supports you saying you have to have the Holy Spirit...... but if I don't have it, then it's because God wants me to be Pagan.

So in other words, you're basically pulling a cop-out because you're tired of not being able to reconcile the obvious contradiction that even you admit exists.
You are correct, the truth is the truth regardless of whether you believe in it or not, but Christianity is a far cry from having a monopoly on this concept. Just because you have strong religious belief doesn't mean it's 100% "Truthâ¢".
As long as you're here making asinine assertions and claiming them to be unquestionable truth, primoa, you're going to have people like me who will be right there to debunk you.

In their hysteria to control the people, the Catholic church invented the trinity, even in later years when the people learned how to read, adding scriptures in the right places to justify the trinity to those who can now debunk it.
You don't have to believe any man, if you can read. It's in the history books about the Catholic church, safe, where they can't change it. Yes! It's real and it is history that can be proven.

Ummm, you are basically saying that God is a trinity because the Bible says so, but then you provide no proof for the authenticity of your holy book. Sorry, that's not going to cut it...

Your truth may not be the actual truth.
The trinity is simply the sun, earth and moon, with the moon being the Christ.

When my elder son was small, he had no problem with the doctrine of the Trinity. "That's easy!" he said. "Three persons rolled into one!" And the more I ponder it, the more I come round to his point of view! Not about its being easy, but about it being something one simply accepts. My brain is far too small to fathom it, here or in eternity. That is why, I suppose, we have to become like little children to enter the Kingdom of God!

Don't let them get you down. I think it's kind of telling that they use the same tired arguments everyday. At least they are, in a way, seeking answers. Even if it's in a derogatory way. God can and will use this for His purpose. Keep fishing!! <{{{><
